Anyway, addressing his detention: The UCMJ does not allow for bail and it's most likely solitary confinement for his own safety. Even little Wayne spent time in solitary while he was locked up. Why? Because he needed to be in administrative segregation so he wasn't attacked or raped by the other inmates.

The most ridiculous part is they give almost no quotes from Manning himself. He said he's "very annoyed" at the solitary confinement. Does that sound like someone who's going through agonizing torture?
On top of that saying that he's in the same position as prisoners of war is silly. He has access to medical personnel, he as access to legal counsel, he's not being held there for years, he's been there for months. He's in his cell for 23 out of 24 hours--compare to some of those prisoners of war who were held in the dark with no light for 24 hours a day going on weeks at a time as part of years long sentences.
How do you think you even know about his condition? What a ridiculous comparison and I'd love to know how you think he should be detained?
The funniest part is how Europeans say that Americans don't know what's going on in the world or only have one viewpoint when your countries are almost all controlled by the center and far left. Anything right of Social Democrat seems to come in as "far right" which is ridiculous. You even have Geert Wilders on trial!
