Dammit I wish I liked TF2

Everyone is saying how good it is, I can see how people would like it... But I just can't seem to enjoy it!

Something must be wrong with me.

shame to hear you not enjoying it bud why not try getting together with a team of friends or people you know on one team maybe you would enjoy that better than just random people always worked for me. did not enjoy gears of war untill i made some friends on the game use to have some good time playing that with 7 other people i know.

I just finished portal, judging by the ending there is going to be a more "real world" game using the portal gun! That would be amazing.

Portal is one of the most challenging games I've played in a while, it's also hilarious.

I quoted you about this on another thread, but have to say it again in it's rightful place.
Valve is amazing.
I can't wait to play the 3 new games in the OB...and on the topic of partal in particular, it takes place in the Half-life world. This means in HL4 (since Valve considers the episodic trilogy as HL3) We may see a newer version (full-grav +portal gun) in the hands of Gordon Freeman!

If anyone is wondering, I am obsessed with the Half-Life games...well, pretty much every game Valve makes.

The 360 version is great. Perfect port.

And the Orange Box is worth it for Portal and Team Fortress 2 alone.

I was exited that if you already owned HL2 and Ep2 you could gift them to a friend. That makes the whole package such a great deal.

on the PC it's two discs (DVDs), i bought it 4 days ago and have only installed TF2 so far. i bought it on a friend's recommendation, we always play BF2 and counterstrike source together so i just had to get TF2 to turn him into a human BBQ.

sleek: i assume you mean on the consoles, because on the PC counterstrike source was in the box with the original release of HL2 back in 2004. if you have a reasonably modern PC you should check it out, there are tons of people playing it and lots of mods. the modders have started on TF2 as well; so far they increased the player-limit on each map from 24 to 32, and there are several custom maps as well.

the one bad thing is that PC and console people cannot play against each other, but given that consoles are limited to 16-players (MS must have a reason for that, but i don't know what it is) and that console FPS games typically come with an aut-target feature to compenaste for the gamepad controls it may be a bit difficult to make balanced PC vs console matches.

i know this is about 2 years late....
but i just played PORTAL yesterday.and completed it.
this game is the best "brain game" i have ever played.
my previous best "brain game" was some yahoo puzzle game where you
had to remove blocks that had a chalice balanced on top of it but you had to remove a set # of the blocks to complete the puzzle.
