No one know exactly when our Saviour is born.
Wikipedia says this;
Barbarians Yale celebration turned in a Christmas feast when Christianity became widespread.
Sorry, dude...maybe you don't know when
your Savior was born, but my savior hasn't been born yet.
Don't include everyone in your little blanket assumptions.
I'm still waiting for the text.
As for Barbarians at Yale, I believe Yale has the lowest percentage of barbarians attending their post grad courses of all the Ivy League institutions...you must be thinking of Penn State; they are known for a large enrollment of Barbarians.
Pagans just gave up and moved on, to California I think, when the Christians showed up...they knew that sin and repent thing was gonna sweep the market of adherents; people were used to a big party in the post-harvest Yuletide, so why not do Jesus's birthday then?
Lots of people have pre- or belated Birthday celebrations, so having one at the approximate time of JC's Birthday worked out well for everyone.
