eh. I don't really like the attitudes of some of the comments on here. I think you guys need to lighten up. stuff is just stuff. no ammount of it is worth someones life. even a scumbag has people that care about him, and if he doesn't... well is it any surprise that he ended up as a scumbag that doesn't care about anyone? im not excusing the behaviour, but one bad turn doesn't deserve another.


ironically it was the founder of law, who was the founder of cut and run industrial commerce that deforrested the middle east and eroded the soil. maybe there is such a thing as common sense and it's always doing battle against common ignorance.

I think you are being a bit harsh with your comments. I haven't read many of Pariah's posts, but by your comment I guess he goes on about religion a lot. He does have a point in this instance though as, whether you are aware of it or not, law has a basis in the ten commandments. If you have ever attempted to read the bible (I did out of curiosity, but am an atheist by nature) you will find that God commanded the deaths of a lot of people (apparantly). Many thousands of people were killed in the name of God, because they were "bad". In fact a lot of people are still killed in the name of God today.

Human rights are a generally new thing in the great scheme of things. While I agree with a lot of the human rights laws, some are just ridiculous. Why should someone have the right to recompense when they have injured themselves trying to steal from you? Human rights laws make it possible for someone to put their fist through your front window, in an attempt to break and enter, then when they get caught claim damages from you.

Another thing that annoys me is those license plate covers. They make it almost impossible to read the plate sometimes. Why they are allowed most places is beyond me.

well, actually no, that was a lie lol. my dog(R.I.P) actually ate my bookmark. O_O honestly! and i forgot where i was. but i hadnt read it for maybe 3 weeks or so coz a new book of my favourite series came out.

but anyway, i guess i should put some "beware of dog" signs up coz i think our dog has bitten a few old ladies recently. we say that they stomped on her so it was provoked lol. but yeah, common responsability these days is about as rare as commen courtesy sadly. no matter how polite i am i still get looked down upon because im a teenager.

LOL Speaking of Signs:

One way to avoid this (granted in the USA) is to put up "no trespassing" signs along the perimeter of your property, that way you can make the case against them for willful unsolicited entry. Prove that they were were knowingly trespassing and you should be able to argue against any liability claims. It is still a pain in the ass to go through the legal bullshit but the joy in that is, I suppose, the counter-suit for damages against your property - i.e the tiremarks the bike left on your lawn...lol

Personally, I think most civil cases are bullshit - but I'm not a lawyer so what do I know...

Can somebody please explain why if someone is on your property with out your consent or let alone you even knowing about it, and they get hurt, you are the one who is liable? That is the most fucked up thing I've ever heard of...ranks up there with the seat belt laws, lights on with windshield wipers, and helmet laws for motorcycles
