I run, usually cross-country, 4-7 times/week, depending upon my schedule. With the number of times I've badly fallen... uneven terrain is easy to fall on at high speed, I'm shocked I've never broken anything. In fact, for whatever reason, I've never suffered an injury that was so bad that I had to stop. I've not missed a day since this latest injury, for example, though I've had to ice it down every day.
Luckily I've got one of those old Discman's too, when they made them very sturdy..... uses electricty like there's no tomorrow, but there's no punishment this thing can't handle!
