On Memorial Day (U.S.) the N.Korean commies conduct the following -

North Korea conducts nuclear test


North Korea has staged a "successful" underground nuclear test, the state-run KCNA agency reports.

The agency says it was more powerful than the previous one in October 2006.

South Korea's president has convened an emergency security meeting and Japan is setting up a task force in the prime minister's office.

Just hours later, North Korea appeared to have test-fired a short-range missile, South Korea's Yonhap news agency reported.

Pyongyang has so far not commented on Yonhap's report.

Following the announcement of North Korea's latest nuclear test on Monday, Japanese Foreign Ministry spokesman Kazuo Kodama said . .

I hope Obama keeps his eyes open and is not totally blinded by his liberalism!

Being aggressive to aggressive states almost always fails. It involves the state in long-term resource investment and reduces the states' ability to maintain its internal security.

What may work nore effectively is if Obama works to ally with a North Korea-encircling group of nations. In this way, the US forces the cost of war to increase for the North Korean while simultaneously, assuming all allies agree, lowering our costs uf war comes.

This is part of what Bush failed to do: alliances help financially and strategically.
