I suspect maybe Rep Power is akin to "leveling up"? For every x Rep you get, you rank up one "Power"?
Also, where are you seeing this? I'm looking at my profile and I can't find anything about my rep. And I really think I must be wrong, because there's no way I have more rep than you and my Rep Power is fucking TWENTY!

Okay Zip, just figured it out. Your "rep power" is some percentage/function of your total rep. It is how many points will be awarded to someone if you give them positive rep. So if someone with a SHITLOAD of reputation gives you rep, they'll have a really high rep power and your reputation will skyrocket. Thus why I have so much more than you. I must have been +rep'd by some very active members. Also, it's completely unrelated to anything like social standing or board moderation. If someone with 1000000 rep power gave you negative rep, it's not like the admin/mods would investigate you for potential banning. It's just a game, really.
