you have to admit Hillary was a flawed candidate and could have been beaten but trump just would not pivot and start acting presidential after becoming the republican nominee

all he had to do was give up his phone and twitter and read from a teleprompter ALL the time

and he would be president

his lack of discipline made Hillary president and I think he really wants to become the head of trump tv and live in ny not that dump on Pennsylvania avenue

when push came to shove he made an unconscious decision to LOSE

a Hillary admin will provide fodder for trump tv

I knew I would corral you with this thread and I was surprised you did not comment on the road not taken thread so here goes. I am a trump supporter and am part of the "angry people crowd" who have lost there jobs and know the system is not working for a long time. I lost a job in 1991 I had for 12 years and replaced it with less paying jobs while I could for a few decades. Trump likes to say things in controversial ways to get attention and the media jumps on it and mis reports it so they can have a controversy to talk about all day on msnbc and cnn when they are not looking for a plane.

The wall is an example- trump never referred to ALL Mexicans as rapists but obviously some were and are. The media often used the word all when he never said all.

he needed to switch his style which he did not after the convention. He must win florida and even then he needs to run the table in 6-8 states. I will be glad if he does but I do not think he can do it with red states weakening for him also. more later

I've said so much in other threads that I don't have much for this thread now.
I will say Trump doesn't have to do anything to win any state at this point.
Just "Stay the Course" to quote Bush I.
He's got every state in the bag by a landslide. Nobody wants HC except for the dumbest maybe 10-20% among us.

It's just a matter of how much they will be able to rig it.

I have not read all your massive words about politics and do not really know if trump really wants to win but the thought occurred to me. Part of me hopes he wins and maybe there are a lot of people in polls who are for others in officially but afraid to admit they are for trump. At this point it seems helpless unless something turns the trump train around. I hate crooked Hillary and see nothing but scandals and controversy in a Clinton admin.

I have some doubts of trumps mental demeanor- but support him.

Bush 41 said he is voting for Hillary, I do not know if you missed that announcement. I guess for what trump did to his son in the primaries. I would like to know how jeb and gw are going to vote. It does not pass me by that a lot of republicans signed a pledge to support the nominee and broke it- only trump was at least honest with his pledge initially about some hesitation.

I agree he needed to campaign as he did in the primaries to weed out 16 other republicans- but he needed to pivot and he did not because he either could not do it long enough or thought he did not need to. He needed to grow his base.

I have a lot of family members who hate trump and do not see his support base that big, they are ones who had jobs that lasted 30 years and did not have to fuck around at the unemployment dept, mailing resumes and job searches and related financial problems looking for work for 9 months.

My uncle is not part of Obama care and says its great but I ask him why he has not purchased an Obama care plan if its so great. His union teachers plan is better. Even Obama purchased an Obama care plan.

He decrys my free plan and I say its part of Obama care which you support. I pay nothing including 330,000 10 day stay at a hospital.
I am a very expensive drag on the system and some politicians want to get illegals on the state part of Obama plan if they aren't already- even though illegals aren't allowed on the federal plan.

I am a little mad at trump not running a campaign that can win against a very flawed corrupt whorish Clinton.

Your thinking of this as if it's real. It's not.
McCain was a strawman. They had bigger plans for him. He was designated to organize ISIS and the other "terror groups" to use as proxys in the destruction of Libya and Syria ect. He is basically their CO.
He did a great job too. Key player in the fake war on terror.
Romney was another strawman because puppet Obama still had work to do.
Trump. We still don't know. I feel is not a strawman for the psychopath because why use him when there were so many republican politicians ready and willing to play the loser? Trump has woken up a lot of people whether he intended to or not. I don't think they would have used him as part of the show when they could have used so many other safer designated losers.

Trump hasn't been taken out for his trial run yet. But he is certainly espousing conservative ideas. At least a few.

I am not crazy about his protectionist stances or his child care proposal but the other things he proposes such as border security, national defense and lower taxes are Goldwater/Reagan conservatism.

The Bushes, Dole, Romney or McCain never touched on those things.

He's got a long history to judge, just as Hillary Clinton does, precisely why I don't like either.

Because the hard right base simply isn't large enough. Makes good sense to nominate somebody more acceptable to moderates/independents. Just because McCain and Romney lost doesn't mean it was a bad strategy. Either one would have beaten Clinton, while Obama probably would have completely destroyed somebody like Huckabee.
