Under-21 European Championships

I´m just interesting, if anyone cares ´bout the U21 Euro Championships...

Germany just reached the Finals with a 1-0 victory over Italy. That will set up a great final against long time rivals from England, who did what i thought would never happen: win a game after the penalty shootout against Sweden!!!
For the americans and canadians who dont know what it is about england and the penalty shootout: its equally realistic, that Endland wins after p.s., than the Cubs win another Wolrd Series :D

I know my sig is too big, but...
yeah england may have won the penalty shoot out but we are missing joe hart, frazier campbell and Gabriel Agbonlahor will not play in the final but otherwise good on the penalties boys!

we´ll missing Dejagah (jesus, even i dont know how he´s spelled... how many "non-germans" do we have on our roster )

but i think our goalie will steal the cup for us :glugglug:

we´ll missing Dejagah
Honestly, I won't miss him. I've yet to see something good or "championship worthy" from him. He didn't take one shot at Italy's goal in 80 minutes, had no assists, and (if I remember the statistics correctly) just half of his passes reached their target. Not very good for playing in the offensive, if you ask me. Then Sandro Wagner comes in as his replacement and almost scores a couple of minutes later.
Well, let's see what happens against England, as England is Germany's "Angstgegner". ;)

I was quite surprised by both matches. England - Sweden as well as Germany - Italy.
I mean, normally it's the Italian strategy to shoot one goal and then close the famous "Catenaccio". But this time it was exactly the other way around. I mean, when even the Italians themselves say, that the German defense was unbreachable, that's quote the compliment. :D Props the the German keeper Manuel Neuer. There was no chance getting past him. Probably one of the best, if not the best young keeper worldwide in his age group. I mean, how many teams play the European Championships and make it to the finals having received only one goal against them.
But like I said, let's wait and see what happens against England. My guess is that Germany will once again fulfill it's role of the last twenty years: being the eternal bridesmaid.
