Sucks for them....

Next time, don't look the other way while some dopey kid cheats....because in the end, he just ends up cheating everyone else out of the effort they put into a championship season.

If you wish to live wisely, ignore sayings including this one.

I got wood
Reggie Bush has a super bowl ring! Who cares about this crap or the heisman being stripped...USC would gets so rocked by any SEC team lolz

i'm sure he cares about losing the heisman

Ehhh...maybe, but probably not, especially considering he knew he was doing something that would take it away if it was discovered. If he did care about it if was before he got his first big contract with the NFL. He probably cares about it as much as Cam Newton now cares about it now. At least Bush had a less phony-ass smile while doing it though.

If everything was discovered I wouldn't be surprised if 75% or more of NCAA top division football championships since the 40s or 50s would be stripped from the teams that have them

FreeOnes is pumping through my veins!
This shit is going to happen more and more often because in todays age you can't have these kids playing in a college sport thats making millions for their schools and not get some little something!

Piss off - I'm wanking
As a UCLA fan, this makes me most happy to see stuff like this happen to USC. But as a college football fan, i couldnt care less for this story or developement...because there HAS NEVER BEEN A TRUE NATIONAL CHAMPION in college football. all we have in college football are teams the writers and (recently) computers selected to compete for that mythical national championship. No one has ever earned it the real way champions are made, through a playoff format.

But as the story is concerned, i think maybe a few teams in the next 20 years will have their 'championships' vacated, Auburn i dont think will be one of those, seeing as evidence points to Cam Newtons father and not any particular school

Unless they find out Cam himself had something to do with it, which he almost certainly did. All it takes is somebody getting pissed off later and spilling what they know for revenge, somebody not getting paid when they thought they were going to, a slip up by somebody, or some investigation nobody knows about coming out. Not to mention the whole Newton incident where he and the school got a slap on the wrist was a very huge sweatheart of a deal for both the family and for Auburn. I don't know of anybody that's not an Auburn fan or isn't in the college football good old boys squad that either thinks it was the right decision or was justified.

I will be mildly socked if in a few years time nothing ever comes out about it.

I hate college football. Of all the sports, both collegiate and pro, it's the one I absolutely wish would fall off the face of the earth with all it's stupid ass fans. It's probably because I have this deep-rooted premenition that all these BCS teams are all paying for their players. Cheaters. I don't like cheaters and I don't like fucking college football.

Rant over.

MOST schools who are Ultra successful are cheating for sure. Being in a BCS conference puts pressure as seen with Ohio St., USC and a bunch of other schools to get the 5 star players (the star system is rigged to favor the big name schools, but thats another story for another time) so you have to do something to get an advantage any way you can, even if it means bending the rules in the so-called gray area...and sometimes in the black and white areas to. Thats not to say its an excuse to cheat, its not, thats just the truth even if college football fans dont want to acknowledge it

^^ This isn't new. We also know about Reggie Bush and his giving up his Heisman Trophy. That's why Pete Carroll is now the Seattle Seahawks head coach. And why Mike Garrett was replaced by former USC and former Los Angles Ram quarterback Pat Haden as Athletic Director at USC.

Another thing is the 57 (or whatever) cheesy ass "bowls" they have at the end. It's just so lame to me. The Alamo Bowl? The Tostidos Bowl? For chrisakes it was so much better when they weren't all about money and we have the Rose and Orange Bowl. Really just all of it is a turnoff to me. It also doesn't help that I can't really get into the players because college football teams have like 200 players. It's damn near impossible to follow them, and of course when none of them stay into upperclassmen it's stupid as well. :2 cents:

Your opinions are probably influenced by regional reporting. I live in Alabama and most of the Tide fans I know felt the right decision was made, but
I'm sure some of those were secretly hoping for a more severe penalty. To be honest, I was very surprised at the support from Bama fans as the Tide/Tiger rivalry is considered one of the most, if not THE most heated in college football. I think Bama fans whole mentality about it was the fact
that the Heisman and National Championship stayed in-state, Alabama & Ingram winning them in 2009 and Auburn & Cam in 2010.
