Venezuela's Chavez: Internet should be regulated

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez called for regulation of the Internet on Saturday while demanding authorities crack down on a critical news Web site that he accused of spreading false information.

In a televised speech, Chavez said: "The Internet can't be something free where anything can be done and said. No, every country has to impose its rules and regulations," Chavez said.

Chavez called for Venezuela's attorney general to take action immediately against the Web site. "This is a crime," he said of the site's reports.

He isn't a Socialist Communist. Socialism and Communism are two different things. I'd invite you to have a working knowledge of terms prior to using them. Or just be disrespected when you post something of this nature. That's fine with me too.

I know you and your ilk really love to do this Will, but it's probably best if don't forget the word "National" before "Socialism", because it really makes for an important distinction, alright? Seriously, that one word alone tells you all you need to know about the Nazi system and how it differs from actual socialism. I'm sure if you had any actual knowledge of either system that would be clear to you. What I'm really saying here is that it allows you to refrain from looking like quite the idiot for at least another 5 or 6 minutes more than you would have done if you had forgotten it. I'm really looking out for your best interests here......

By this definition, the Nazis practiced what they preached. They practiced it at home and then abroad. No one can claim that they did not sacrifice enough individuals.

I do see a lot of Obama principles in the German Socialist policy thrust...end result or proposed status, it's all the same.
Wild uncontrolled people (Americans) are a bitch to herd where you want them, and can be counted on to go in many different directions when the powers in power want specific results; always been a burr under the saddle blanket of every non totaltaerian gov't since King Gilgamesh.
So...I am gonna keep every eye I can on Obama and his power mad cohorts the Democratic Party, and the Booby Twins Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi.
