Video Appears to Show ISIS Execution of Second American Steven Sotloff

A new video appears to show the execution of Steven Sotloff, the second American killed by a self-professed member of the Islamist terror group ISIS.

In the video, which appeared online today, Sotloff addresses the camera, saying, “I’m sure you know exactly who I am by now and why I am appearing.”

“Obama, your foreign policy of intervention in Iraq was supposed to be for preservation of American lives and interests, so why is it that I am paying the price of your interference with my life?” Sotloff says calmly as the black clad militant holds a knife casually at his side.

The video then cuts to the militant who makes a statement saying that as long as U.S. missiles “continue to strike our people, our knife will continue to strike the necks of your people.”

Sotloff was seen last month in a very similar video that appeared to show the execution of American journalist James Foley.

Meanwhile ISIS is being driven back by Kurdish fighters and the Iraqi army with U.S. air support.

F'n go get'em.

This is a perfect opportunity to dredge the swamp. Jihadists worldwide are converging to this region like a roach motel. Kill them and kill them some more.

Imagine how Steven's mother feels right now. She respectfully pled for her son's life and they still took it. She couldn't have been more gracious in having to beg vermin for mercy.

Hard to believe there would be a justification for boots on the ground, but ISIS appears to justify it. Truly a threat. Radical religion at it's worst. Really, right wing Christians, radical Muslims, both have the same objective, ruling over the rest of us utilizing a government that is based on their religion, ISIS and their like are just more advanced in their means.

Let's go back several years under W. He was conservative (well, somewhat) and a christian, his AG, Ashcroft was certainly a conservative christian and both houses of congress were under GOP control. I don't remember America sliding towards puritanism or witch hunts taking place during that time. Come to think of it, I was still jerking off to porn as much as I am now.

Something I don't understand: presuming Foley and Sotloff knew they were going to die, why would they read these pre-scripted propaganda messages before being murdered? I mean, I could see perhaps Foley not being certain he was going to be executed, and reading it in hopes of being spared. But in the wake Foley's murder Sotloff had to know he was going to die.

It turns out Steven Sotloff was able to hide from his ISIS captors that he was jewish and an Israeli citizen. His family wiped any references to that part of his background from social media and the Israeli government and media did the same in order to protect him. During captivity, he still observed jewish traditions like fasting on Yom Kippur by pretending he was sick. He would also wait until his captors turned to pray towards Mecca and he would turn to pray towards Israel.

I can't imagine a worse fate than Sotloff already suffered but I'm sure his killers would've thought of something had they found out he was jewish and an Israeli to boot.
