do watermarks on videos distract you from the action? i never liked them myself but alot of people tell me i should use them.

Not really, they dont bother if their in the corner, but you should use them.
It keeps some from stealing & saying its theirs, also it helps when we need to ID a babe

If you're going to use them, put them down in a corner.....the ones that are straight across the middle are distracting and annoying.....out of the way still protects you somewhat, but are easy to ignore.

Corner is fine, just don't have a huge one slap in the middle of the video, that is annoying! You should use it to make sure other places don't use your vid to get some financial gain from them!

I have no problem with watermarks. Let's face it, the only way that a watermark could be distracting is if what you are watching is terribly, terribly dull and boring. All TV programs have station ID's in the corner now anyway, so it's not as if we are not used to it.

Because if your data gets shared illegally, maybe the person will try and erase the visible watermark, but chances are he /she will forget the other and thus, you have an additional handle in that person.
