unspoken truth in withn Finnish is that Sweden has been nearly always forerunner over Finland in many different things where Finnish think that they are or were better...

I've never actually seen the violence and criminal activities in Finland.

Sweden is at least much richer country than Finland and the Swedish army has never had to fight for their country.

BTW, Assari, can you tell me why Finns seem to have a grudge against Swedes? My buddy and his pals (Finnish) seem to make jokes about Swedes the way I make jokes about people from West Virginia. Is it just good natured ribbing or do you folks have some sort of bad history that I don't know about?

But Finland was still Sweden and it wasn´t just an occupation.

A Finn is a Finn whether they are Swedish or Finnish. Finland was part of Sweden and later gained independence. This was not an occupation by Sweden of Finland.

My maternal family is Swedish speaking and proudly Finnish.

Finland was part of Sweden since 1150 and this happened because Sweden made a crusade to Finland.
