Watchmen: Nite Owl

Will E Worm

Conspiracy...
The original Nite Owl was a member of the Minutemen, the first group of masked crime-fighters that New York ever had. He retired, and Dan Dreiberg became Nite Owl II (though he is usually just referred to as “Nite Owl.”) Soon, Nite Owl teamed up with Rorschach and fought gang violence in the streets of New York. Eventually vigilante-ism was outlawed, and Dan Dreiberg hung up the Nite Owl suit without ever going public. Independently wealthy, he remained mostly isolated until the events of Watchmen.

Nite Owl

I'd like to see this character resurrected by DC and given his own series. ;)

Anyone else?

He was a very important character in the watchmen but as for his own series that probably wouldn't work out to great hell I'm expecting alot who know absolutely nothing of the watchmen to go see it and say he's a batman knock off the only way I can see him getting his own comic would be if they made it a prologue before the events of the watchmen but you would have to do that for all of them

While I would love to see more of the characters from the Watchmen, especially Nite Owl, it would have to be written by Alan Moore and drawn by Dave Gibbons. Those are the two that made the character who he was, and we all know how Alan Moore feels about DC Comics. I also remember him saying that the characters never will exist before issue one, and they stopped existing after issue twelve, so he had no plans on going back and visiting the characters again.

Someone new could take up the mantle of Nite Owl.
