What Did The TelePromped President Do Today ?

NavyBlue

Apprentice Oil Dude
If you think Obama is on a ego trip and gambling on the future of the country with his policies and EO then you're wrong. Obama is just as passionate about turning this country around as you and I and he just have powers to make the change. You may not agree with all his moves but when Bush was President he was using his powers just as much, if not more so, than Obama. The difference is that people who dared criticizing him at the time were attacked as unpatriotic or not supporting our troops. Now that people can speak freely once again they really let loose with their criticisms and that's why I don't get it. I am not sure if it's because he's a Dem, a Liberal, or a Black, that's causing so much backlash.

I understand there's a lot of anger and frustration with the direction of Obama's administration and it's ok for you guys to vent and speak your mind. Hell I am not a fan of everything Obama's been doing but like I said, he still have 3 years and 9 months to turn this thing around so it's useless to bitch and moan over every single thing he does. Just leave some of that for later ok? :)

..
Because, like his executive orders, his policies are unprecedentedly numerous and they appear to have deep roots, hence, they won't easily be repealed.
It's plain to see that this president is no friend of the legislative process.

Obama, IMO is a dangerous man because he's been coddled and told how great he is all of his life. Has the man ever once been denied or critiqued ? Do we have any idea how the man is going to react under pressure or adversity ?
Will he take his frustrations out on the American people and you're just going to call it good ? :yesyes:

No offense dems, but have you forgotten that it's always best to keep our president at bay no matter what their party affiliation is ? Just keep kickin em in the ass to keep 'em in line. :D No intimate love affairs now.

Not as frequent as The President teleprompts, he even teleprompts when he addresses small groups. It's nothing personal against the man. I like everything about the President but I detest his policies. . . . I mean georges sorohhs' policies. :p

Just here for the words.
I see both sides. I mean, they are subsisting on government money, so they have to follow the rules set forth. If they'd borrowed mafioso cash, the CEO would be swimming with the fishes. Same thing, I feel.
GM did not get Government money! The government has none it is our money!

I don't care if you were joking... that was not called for.
It is interesting to see how quickly you responded to this. Maybe there is some *racial* truth in all of this Obama bashing.

What do you like about Obama, if you like nothing he has done or nothing he believes politically? Oh, I see, you liked him BEFORE he was president:rolleyes: What did you honestly think he was going to do as president--follow the Bush/Cheney Doctrines of Incomptence? Cut taxes, shrink gov't, de-regulate even more, let companies go bankrupt and let China and Dubai come in and buy up all our remaining Corporate Carcasses?

THis reads a lot like "Johnny-Come-Lately-Faux-Anarchism," fwiw...

I don't want him to fail.... I want him to do as I tell him.
Did you vote for him? I find it hard to believe that you voted for Obama and are this critical so soon. I don't know of any Obama voter who has already turned on him. I don't think we'll get any *CONGRATULATIONS* from the Obama Haters once the economy starts heading northward?

You prove my point yet again...I'm not a right-winger, not now or ever. You just paint everyone not an Obama-Zombie like yourself with the same worn-out brush.
You have no clue how I or anyone voted, but still base your argument on fantasy and innuendo.
You are a self-created stereotype.
I think we don't care how you voted. You don't seem to do much other than attack attack attack.

At least you can see that clearly...humility looks good on you.
Sadly, I think You Missed the point. Perhaps you were thought to be one of the many detractors in this thread who have articulated cogent criticism to be mistaken for a former Harvard Law Review member? :1orglaugh

Roll a d6.
You are really in love aren't you.... cuz your gushing.

The truth is Fritz Henderson, the new interim CEO has been around GM for decades and his team is the same team except they dare to make changes to go head to head against the ***, yes, the fxxking Japanese auto-transplants.

Fritz Henderson is no different than the Navy Pacific Commander in Second War World to lead a Navy fleet going after the ***. TO KILL OR BE KILLED !

But this time, it is the Chinese who will invade America in 2011, not with troops but cheap cars. India still has a long way to go. Their Nano cars do not even have airbag, power steering, power brakes. Give me a break !

Fritz Henderson has to chop off Saturn, Covette, Saab, Humber and more and lead an Army of elite to fight its way into the world market in "mean and lean" way.

I personally have a lot of dealing with the "stupid" German fxxking "green" technology. German electric bus/cars break down after 1 year in the road and it costs almosts $800,000.00 dollar for a German electric bus.
(You can get a well-made bus for $600,000.00 made in USA)

The truth is it is NOT about Obama but GM need a kick in the ass to lead America once against the German, the *** and the second tiers the Chinese and the Indian who are going to flood the world with cheap cars in less than 2-3 years.

What do you like about Obama,
Just look at him ! He's about the most vibrant and engaging personality ever ! He has that certain special nature about him. I see the President as more of an Ambassador, a Secretary of State or maybe a corporate public relations dept president, say . . for a big humongous pharma - corp. e.g. Merck, Eli Lilly, Schering-Plough etc. :D

But in all seriousness, if you were running a corporation, and you needed to open the door for trade with the nation of Kenya :p, (Any Other Nation ! I was only kiddin !) Barak would be a great hire. He's a guy that you would hire on the basis of the way that he carries himself, not on the basis of fulfilling an affirmative action requirement.

It just turns out that his loyalties are with the far left and for that, I only oppose his ideology, not his person.

[ . . you like nothing he has done or nothing he believes politically?
Off of the top of my head, no. There was one issue recently, I forget which one, where I agreed with him, but other than that, no.
After all, Barak was the furthest to the left of 99 other senators, surpassing Bernie Sanders (Self Proclaimed Socialist) and even Patrick "Leaky" Leahy, so of course I will have my differences.

I don't decide whether I like people because of political differences. I have many friends and clients that believe different, to varying degrees, than I.
Celebrate Diversity Of Opinion already ! :p

What did you honestly think he was going to do as president--follow the Bush/Cheney Doctrines of Incomptence?
Don't look to me to come to the defense of the "w" admin. I'm a firm believer in the pick and choose method of approaching solutions to problems. Sometimes the dems have a better solution than the repukes and conversely, sometimes the pukes solution is better than the jackass solution. It's too much like religion if you feel that you have to have loyalties one way or the other. This isn't fantasy football here ! lets bring every option to the table and refrain from voting the party line. Be pragmatic. :hatsoff:

Have to go now. Will continue later. :D

So, you don't like President Barack Obama. My only issue is that when you already don't like someone, that someone (especially a politician) isn't likely to ever win you over, even if all the past mistakes of 8 years are fixed. So, why bother criticizing Obama at this point?

Since Barack is a smart guy, and since Dubya was a dumb guy, there's a pretty good chance that Smart Guy = Successful Administration, Happy Country...whereas we've just lived through 8 years of Dumb Guy= Bad Administration, Miserable Country. Aren't the odds in favor of Obama and the Lefties? Is it really likely that Obama's decisions, though completely different from Dubya, will ultimately mean nothing and we'll end up in the same place--the gutter? Bill Clinton was another Smart Guy= Successful Administration, Happy Country (remember those $SURPLUSES$)

If you want to lead the charge that does away with the 2-party system..be my guest. I seriously doubt that it will be the mean the end of Liberalism and the elevation of RonPaulism.:dunno:

So. are you gonna quit trotting out your endless"Bush bad stupid worst" tired and silly comments you manage to inject in any post you make? He's gone...not the President any more.
Smart is the new Black? Most every failed company getting bailouts is staffed by Harvard and other top University grads with multiple degrees...and you still put forth the silly and meaningless theory that smart is gonna do it for us.
Obama has no clue what is needed to fix the country's problems...he wants to change the way the country is operated, with a serious Leftist agenda. It has nothing to do with fixing problems, everything to do with making the US a socialist Euro-themed paradise.
Even the Euro countries want to get away from Socialist hell, and are getting tired of Obama's too soon too much policiy remake of the US.
Pelosi has more say in what happens than the President...but lets wait and and see if his "theories" work? Damn...I'm so glad you only have one vote...you are so clueless about the shitstorm coming, and that's gonna be with us a long time after he's gone and cursed by every suffering American.
And we are gonna suffer...smart guy "Turbo-Tax" Geithner is gonna cut a swath across the lifeblood of this country that will take a generation to recover from.
There will be no paying off a $9-12 Trillion deficit; and the fabric of the US political and business systems that brought us to the prominence we have today don't need to be totally changed; the idea that we need to become a One World compatible structure is ridiculous.
And I will say "I told you so"...I and many others were saying this would happen way before the election results were in, and nothing is happening that wasn't feared and expected.
No one party should ever have total control of the US government, and the results are obvious.

By it's very definition the governments' having the power(s) to terminate the employ of a private sector CEO is FASCISM ! There is no better way to define it.

I question the president and his loyalties e.g. "Black Liberation Theology" is a communist revolutionary derivative (yes communism still exists), of course his supporters won't admit it. Also - Everything that ''reverend wrong'' preaches the president believes. You don't dedicate 20 years to a church and then when it becomes public that your minister incites hatred for country, make claim that you weren't in attendance to hear all of the inflammatory anti American rhetoric.
How about the president and his association with tony rez (Hillary mentioned ol' tony to Barak's dismay, during the caucas, remember ?)and that kook fringe loon william ayres (or however you spell it - It's not worth looking up) That's just FakeNews (FoxNews) stuff, right ?
In the president's first book (if you can find it) for instance, he emphasizes his adoration of communist bent college professors as well as a black man's challenges through oppression (as if he's ever been oppressed)

Since Barack is a smart guy,
You just think he's cute. (C'mon fess up !:D) and like you, he adores the Federal government and views the private sector as evil and unfair and would eventually like to fast track annex the ability to regulate the financial business decisions of the private sector ie fascism.
If you want to lead the charge that does away with the 2-party system..be my guest. I seriously doubt that it will be the mean the end of Liberalism and the elevation of RonPaulism.:dunno:
Just like everything that the libs get their hands on, Liberalism has been revised. Your party isn't the least bit liberal, by my standards anyway, of course I'm going by old yucky, soooo yesterday  traditional definitions.

Go ahead, chide those who embrace Classical Liberalism, there's always room for progress in the democratic party. Redefine things as you see fit. I just think that it's wimpy to exchange liberty and personal accountability for 3 "free" small squares a day, a "free" 600 square ' <- (feet / foot:))apartment and free govt newspaper at your doorstep to tell you what's going on in the world today.

If I have to take a second job and involve myself in some work that I would consider "below me", I will do it before I acquiesce to a rashioned, remedy all govt.

You're good with me though, TR

Agree to disagree

republican party=pro-rich, screw the poor, pro-torture, pro-war for oil, anti-environment

meesterperfect

Hiliary 2020
republican party=pro-rich, screw the poor, pro-torture, pro-war for oil, anti-environment

regarding the screw the poor part.
How?
What screws the poor more? giving them free handouts for life? Telling them they can't succeed on their own and here take this money, because you have no chance to make it, they will just discriminate against you and keep you down anyway.. Just keep having kids and make sure you teach them to vote democrat.
Or,
Allowing a free market capitalistic society without an enormous tax burden on workers so those who work and want to succeed in life actually have a chance.
But I realize the republicans have not been champions of that last approach, but still much closer to it than democrats.

Under this Presidents riegn the tax burden and inflation will put many more people in the category of poor. More for the republicans to screw I suppose
