To celibrate the "Great American Melting Pot" you should have a glass of everything (not mixed together or anything). I don't mean slam 'em, drink at a leisurely pace. What a tribute to the American Experience that would be. Eat nothing but soda crackers to keep it all down.
At the cookout tomorrow, there will be more than a few mason jars (hidden) under the bar. Some of our cop friends will be there too, I'm sure. And they'll be drinking it just like the rest of us.
courvoisier XO is kinda the standard cognac for noobs, and a bit dry i think. camus VSOP is cheaperand tastes pretty much the same. the best one i've had so far is a hardy's XO (grren label), i swear it's like drinking caramel, although one of my stepbrothers refers to it as gasoline.
you could go to a nice hotel/restaurant and order a glass of louis XXIII, but that's at least 200 bucks... i've never done that, but one day i wanna, just to say that i drank the best. it probably doesn't taste all that differently, but whatever.
