Haven't played that before. Don't think I've seen it either
Don't think you'll see it on TV, it's a proper British pub game - all good pubs should have warm beer,5 year old sandwiches, sticky flooring and no bloody music. I'm quite an old fashioned girl at heart ;)

I've played both eight ball and nine ball. Play mostly eight ball. Had a stick when I was younger and played a lot but gave it away after I quit going to pool halls.

What's that? That some people think their way is the only proper way of thinking? Nah, I've known arrogant fucks my whole life.

Correct according to whom? No one outside of your ingroup gives a rat's ass what you think is "correct".

I'm too lazy to set a usertitle.

Er, according to the people that invented Billiards! Of which Snooker, Pool et al are derivatives.
& obviously you give "a rat's ass" because you asked me the above question. If you didn't give "a rat's ass" you would not have replied. . .

Anyone heard of bumper pool?

Yes. Had a Bumper pool table in our home from the age of 3 until I was 20.

In regular pocket pool I generally played 8-ball, but also played Rotation and Cutthroat is best for three players.

"Er" isn't a word. Of course I only point that out to illustrate how astoundingly ironic your attempt to "correct" me has been and I've only continued to reply because your air of superiority is amusing.

Er, correcting me on a grammatical mistake I have made after I have corrected you on one you have made is in no way ironic, least of all "astoundingly ironic"!

I haven't made a grammatical mistake. If I say pool stick in a pool hall no one is going to be confused. What I've done is use a term that you don't favor. Stick versus cue is a matter of personal preference. Neither is right or wrong.

No they probably won't be, doesn't make the term right though. It may be a matter of personal preference, but stick IS wrong. What do you call the cue ball? The stick ball?

PS - I'd hate to see you when you do give "a rat's ass" about something! :hatsoff:
