what scenes in horror movies really freaked you out?

Was King of the Board for a Day
The dick scene in Hostel 2. If you've seen it, you know what I'm talking about.

The weird thing is, it's almost kind of funny/stupid. Why would you keep on insulting a girl when she could easily just snip off your junk just like that?

Wanking all the way to the bank!
Texas Chain Saw Massacre, the original, scared the fucking shit out of me...

I saw it at the theater when I was like 12yrs old...

I was a morning paperboy, I wouldn't walk within 20ft of a bush, telephone pole, car, etc... for a month...:D

I can set my own custom title!
torture scenes freak me out...

These don't really freak me out. I guess being around horror movies so much, and actually working on making them, these just boil down to special effects porn. I don't care much about the characters or story, so we're just left with grisly stuff.

Yes, I bribed and cheated to get this far
the movie hostel was pretty freaky.

The only thing that creeped me out about that movie was the people I knew who had already seen it. They described some of the scenes and my imagination went wild with what I would see and when I finally did see it, I was so disappointed, that's why I believe it's best to leave that stuff to the viewer's imagination.

But what did freak me out was, as a child, Night of the Living Dead (original). I was only like 7 when I saw it. That little girl creeped me out!!

I'm too lazy to set a usertitle.
Gotta be the end scene of Raiders Of The Lost Ark, was young when I watched it and that face melting was the goriest thing I'd even seen (at the time).

Also the scene in The Cook, the Thief, His Wife & Her Lover when some thugs kill Michael a bookstore owner by slowly stuffing pages down his throat and they carry on talking normally as he struggles to breathe coughing up blood (I'll never forget that gagging sound he made), guess this was my first viewing of sadism and torture and I was probably a bit too young to understand it was just for shock value.

Man, I find Horror movies extremely sick. Why the fuck who someone want to make that shit? For someone to come up with shit like that, he must have some serious mental problems.

I was a kid when I watched The Exorcist for the first time. Scared the hell out of me (pun intended).

I hate spiders so Arachnophobia was another movie for me with some freaky stuff.

And the Blairwitch Project (the first one that is, the second one is a joke) gave me some goosebumps too.

Because people are different than you. What you find sick, someone else might find funny, enjoyable, or just interesting. It's insulting to say that someone who enjoys something of that nature has serious mental problems.

I don't understand why anyone would want to watch movies that make them cry or feel sad, but it doesn't mean the folks that make them are crazy.

You don't like horror movies? Super- go post in a thread about comedies or action movies.

But as I do make horror movies, I find your attitude and tone rather ugly.

Signed,

Completely mentally balanced guy who loves horror.

So what exactly do you find appealing in some girl getting raped and slashed open?

I really want a custom title!
Can't remember the name of the movie, when I was a kid, about 12, I saw an old black and white flick. It was about people that would get infected by the things they would touch, and this bacteria would eat them from the inside out. So I spent about a month constantly washing my hands and holding then up like a doctor does.
