What to do in Afghanistan? Recent writings.

Christopher Buckley, who has impeccable conservative genes has come out for the of leaving Afghanistan. This follows on from the recent writings of Friedman (at the New York Times.) There are slight differences but the underlying thrust is the same. We would have to stay in Afghanistan forever and a day at an enormous expense with no guarantee of success.

Man while I hated being there I didn't mind the people not shooting at me.

Is it bad if I have really stopped caring? I would rather have the soldiers back home. Use our special forces even though it's a huge land mass we have the technology to find anyone. It would probably be easier because when there's a war going on you can just run away to another country.

I don't know though tbh this world is fucked up.
