What's my problem...

So either I'm a moron or just a weirdo, but either way I need to know.

I just started community college a couple weeks back, and so far I'm glad that I signed up. In one of my classes there is a very pretty girl that I kind of had a crush on from the start. I will admit that it was for no apparent reason, and that is typical of me. One time a guy behind me was flirting with her and I was just wishing it could be me. Well on Monday, she randomly started talking to me in the hallway and I can safely say that I NEVER have connected or communicated with a girl that well before. We talked for awhile, up until the teacher made everyone stop talking. It was the best conversation I have ever had with a girl, hands down. We didn't get to talk much more that class but when it was over we told each other that we'd see each other on Wednesday (today) and were happy about it.

Over the past few days I thought about her a LOT. I was very eager to talk to her again and get to know her better. My day started off crappy...the bus was ten minutes late and stopped a lot which caused me to be late for my first class. But while leaving my first class, I actually passed by the girl. All we really did was say hi and smile, but she seemed very happy to see me. She said she'd see me later.

Now maybe it was wrong of me, but while waiting for class I kinda expected her to stand next to me in the hallway and talk to me. But she didn't...she stood with a dude inbetween us. So I walked over to her and started talking to her. I feel like maybe that was a bit too much? Anyway, that guy ended up butting in and had a long conversation with her. He seemed like a total doofus imo...cussed a lot, sounded like a dweeb, looked like he didn't know what a hairbrush is :hatsoff: , etc...but she seemed to connect even better with him so I didn't say anything for awhile.

All three of us talked for awhile, the guy and I shook hands, but I couldn't really relate to what they were talking about. This continued throughout class. She didn't say any "see you next time" type stuff to me either...she was too busy ignoring me while she chatted with the guy as they left the room

Obviously there are other girls. But obviously this effected me if I'm writing a long obnoxious post about it too. Do you think she can tell that I get super jealous when she chats with other guys? Maybe she likes that fact? Maybe she just connects super well with every guy? Or did I get a bit too bold walking up on her? Or my biggest fear, maybe she didn't like me at all, and wanted to throw that out the window?

It sounds cliche, but people are drawn to people who are just doing their own thing and have confidence. Just be yourself, and act indifferent. If it's mean to be, it will be. If not, no big deal... :2 cents:

So now it's time for an experiment:

Lay off for awhile and see how she reacts. Just be polite and smile. Odds are that if she is interested, she'll draw closer to you. :yesyes:

Some women feel the need to constantly talk to someone to pass the time and if you was around and her friends weren't you was that someone (totally innocent in her mind). You could possibly be reading too much into it as some women talk nicely/enthusiastically to everyone because they're either just good natured or want to keep their 'options open', she may have even been talking to the other guy the same way so he isn't any closer to her than you. Best back off and see her next moves, if you fall in any deeper you could end up pouring your heart out on a porn forum and you never want to sink that low.

Thanks for that advice! I appreciate it. I was a bit disappointed by her getting along so well with that guy, because he seemed like the stereotypical college weed head/dork type. I thought she was different but I guess not.

One thing I forgot to say was that when I asked her what class she had in the tech building (where I had bumped into her a couple hours before) she acted like she forgot we saw each other. Which I'm sure was BS.
