Gran Turismo. But I hate the GT games. It's a nice experience to earn your way up thru the cars and tune them JUST the way you like them.

On the downside, it's just no fun at all tho. You get shitty cars (starting out up til midgame) that you can find at any given streetlight driven by everyday people.

You have to drive realistically.. on friggin' racing tracks.. with pissant cars.. OVER AND OVER so you can upgrade your muffler and maybe get that racing chip upgrade! YAYZ!

Wash, rinse and repeat until you can get that dodge viper and do the next set of tracks.. over and fucking over. BORING.

I had it on my old computer, I've not downloaded it on my new laptop...yet...I think I should one of these days. You can even build your own tracks then upload them and race on them against real people online! lots of fun!

The grid is the best because of two small details, one there is destruction derby, two it is almost lag free online never played a better game for lag or people. stress free and fun

My sentiments exactly on GT3 and GT4. But have you given GT5 Prologue a shot, though? The in-cockpit view (which I usually don't use for racing games) is awesome. Really gives the game the sense of speed it's been lacking for me in the past. I recommend giving this latest installment a try. I'm looking forward to the full version for the first time.

As for my past favorite racing game... Midnight Club 3 for sure. Need for Speed: Most Wanted comes in at a close second place.
