I don't even know if the most leftist radical president ever would ever switch to the center! Could it be after the Democrats lose control of Congress in fall of 2010? or he never will change his ways and continue in this self destruct one termer mode that he curently is?

What garbage dump do you speak of? George W Bush was the greatest president ever and we should remove that leftist commie radical Thomas Jefferson from Mt Rushmore and chisel in his place, a real American...Dubya. Although that other leftist commie radical Teddy Roosevelt is in a better place on the Mt. Maybe we should remove him instead.

How about we let him lead the country instead of lambasting every decision? God, I got tired of this during W. as well. Obama can enact the same policies as W. in so many areas and the Republicans will lambast him all-the-same.

Heck, I'm even now defending Obama on healthcare, pointing out where many Republicans suggested similar things, from McCain to Romney. One of these days people will argue the issues, instead of just being the opposition.

Well, we can always pick some other country to invade and rally around the Flag.

The teabagger have extended the right pole of the political continuum so far to the right that Obama is in the middle.

I don't have a problem with people opposing from either side....what is pretty pathetic though is when some allow their personal opposition to someone cause them to maintain completely illogical, nonsensical blather just to keep from being quiet.

Don't get me wrong as some here honestly believe that pointing out the error and inconsistency of their drivel means others trying to change their minds.

For the record, I care more about the price of tea in Tibet than I care what some incorrigible hack thinks. What I do believe though, is the knowledgeable among us owe it to those who may lack for knowledge to call bullshit when hacks assert myths, convenient omissions, half truths and outright lies.

So to some of the hacks, when others point where your assertions lack logic, consistency or truth....they're not trying to change your mind. They're simply preventing you from polluting the minds of those who don't know one way or the other.:2 cents:

Really? I thought he was trying to get us out of Iraq, salvage the war in Afghanistan, get the economy off of life support and solve the untenable, escalating costs of healthcare....:dunno:

Ridiculous premise, don_equis.

If he's so far to the left, how come the radical leftists aren't happy with him?

Just answer the question and stop trying to just find something wrong to argue about, we all know he's not center anyhting yet.

Lets imagine a U.S. president that goes out to the world and start by appologizing, appeals to most muslims, expands goverment, releases a lot of money for spending, pushes the most ambitous going green agenda, reverses the previous stem cell policy, upholds his promise to release the Gitmo detainees, pushes for a big time public option in health care reform, it's put on tv almost everyday and take the prime time to deliver the biggest speeches ever, the media loves him and continues and extended honeymoon never seen before, but suddenly "healthcare reform" becomes his bump, he slows down starts talking maybe it can be done without a "public option"...his lefties groupies start questioning thier commander in chief and see that as weakness and cave in to those he said 'get out of the way and let us fix this mess" perharps that's why they are not so happy with this imaginary president that I have created in this imaginary situation....

so is he slowly centering himself now, so that the democrats don't loose congress next year or by his own radical agenda he sacrifices the control that the democrats have in congress and just switch to the center after what obviously will happen in 2010....or he never will switch and sacrifice his changes of a second term?

what is your opinion my friend? go ahead if you want to argue about something else...

(Keep on marching! He's doing his best )

Whoops!!! :o

You sure he's not already in the centre?

I don't see much of a "liberal" :dunno:. He might be slightly left of centre, but only slightly. I guess that's enough to get the country shouting socialism at the top of their lungs.

What a great ratings coup the right wing media has pulled there.

You can't have everything! Where would you put it?!

I would say you're making up things as you go and/or not paying attention to the facts.

Obama ran on such things as expanding the war in Afghanistan, making decisions based on pragmatism and being a bipartisan president for all Americans.

He's always said the 2nd amendment confers an individual right to keep and bear arms...that he would strike unilaterally in places upon actionable intelligence (and has done so) and work with republicans to get things done....certainly not wacky, leftist positions.

If you're on the "left" and because of those stances you are disillusioned now, I would say you heard what you wanted to hear during the campaign and not what he said. If you're on the "right" and you now believe he's moving to some center I would say you too heard what you wanted to hear (if you even listened in the first place) and not what he said.

So in effect, your question is pretty moot.

BTW, speaking of hearing what you want and not what's said, when did Obama say he was releasing the prisoners detained in GiTMO?

He'll have to try to screw up a whole lot harder than he is before Republicans will win anything in 2010 or 2012.

:thumbsup:Agreed. Out of Government, out of mind. So Easy - for the Chicago Boys;)
