When you buy a new game do you.............?

I ALWAYS play the single player mode of all games. And I NEVER play the online side to them. Not played online in the past five or six years maybe longer. I have played online in the past [on the Dreamcast and PC]. Besides the fact that you are against real people when online, there's nothing else appealing about it. It gets boring after a while running around killing each other constantly. Then once your done with that format, it's rinse and then repeat the process. Nah. It's definately not for me. I like to get my money's worth as I like to be entertained with a story and immersion. That is why I play single player modes. I will play splitscreen co-op mode going through the single player story, that's good. But death match and capture the flag and gumpf like that is not for me.

Depends on the game for me I just ufc 09 and am playing career and exhibition before I go online for this game but for something like a shooter I may check out online earlier

first single player, then online.

single player is like a interavtive movie (if it has a good story)
online is just fun and competitive to fight with or against people.

Single player, multiplayer most times sucks. Except when they do a game for the sole purpose of multiplayer gaming, when they do so, forget Single player, because it will most likely be crap just to try and justify the multiplayer gameplay.

:thumbsup: I am the same way, 90% of the games I have owned on 360 I have played for months if not longer before I even touch the campaign mode!

depends on the game.. rpg i usually finish the singleplayer first
but fps, i always start the multiplayer first and play the sp now and then.
