Where do you place Obama on the Left/Right scale

Almost twenty people call him a leftist, socialist or communist.
This makes me wonder how far to the right the republicans acutally are.

Well, look at his Cabinet, then make a decision. Some real weird wackos in there, but some moderates as well. Van Jones, Holder, Chu, Napolitano, the SCOTUS freaks he appointed, and plenty more. Very disconcerting folks in there.

Tough to really say. If he gets re-elected then we shall really see. He will come out of his closet and do all kinds of radical shit, IMO. He is really trying to "play" both sides ATM to get re-elected and then unleash his true ideals.

Seriously though, I think Obama is far left in his ideology (FDR didn't go far enough, you didn't build that, spread the wealth, Orwell's 1984 was more of an instructional manual, etc.) but governed center left. ok, nudging a little closer to che. there, that should do it.

I said/thought that from the start and have the PMs to prove it. I have no doubt that Obama is a marxist at heart but he couldn't govern that way, not in this country, not at this point in it's history. We still have checks and balances including an armed citizenry (thank you Founders).

Government took an ownership position in each of those programs which is socialism.

Cash For Clunkers was a program forced upon the auto industry in exchange for their money and was used as a ploy to rid the country of so called gas guzzlers and to pave the way in failed green technology.

Actually Bush assisted the incoming administration's wishes as he was getting the hell out of there and couldn't even show his face at the RNC. But suffice it to say and it is even more obvious now that Bush is no conservative.

Obama is on audio talking about wealth redistribution ..I'm sure he had a plan for free tuition and wage hikes within the these "Center right" ideals.

Obama was stopped from implementing much of his Marxist agenda. It was not by choice.





He is even talking about the constitution in terms of what government should do.spoken like a true Marxist

In that case, yes, Obama is a socialist. And so is Paul Ryan. And, since Trump called it "a thing of beauty", I guess he's to be put in the socialist category as well.
