True, romans never considered gauls as civilised people like creeks, macedonians, egyptians or phenicians.
But what signed Ceasar's death warrant was his thirst for power and his popularity among the people

Wars, conquests were good for the economy, good for the people.

Also i completely disagree about Americans enjoying seeing their country killing civilians or being at war. Sure many idiots feel that way but most of us are tired of it and are wise to why they do it, which is never what they sell us.

There is and always has been a small percentage of rich power hungry fuckers who use the people to fight in wars that only benefit the rich. I think at this point in the human evolution most people are aware of this and are sick of it. That is why the propaganda is so much stronger now. They are losing control of us.
