Who will win the "Turnpike World Series"

[Friday on my mind]

The teams are set, NY Yankees VS Philadelphia Phillies.Both had exceptional seasons and it should be a great series.Living where I live I have seen more of the Yankees and they look very tough but for some reason I have a hunch the Phillies might beat them and repeat.

Whats your vote?

BTW it's called a turnpike series cause they will just travel up and down the NJ Turnpike to get to each others stadiums.It's only about a 1 1/2 hour drive between the 2 cities.

Nah just was too funny not to jump on.But seriously I saw Howard in the playoffs and he is as you say probably going to have a lot of success in yankee stadium.He is hot right now and oh so strong a hitter.

Mildly rooting for the Phillies (NL fan) but I figure the Yanks will win it. I probably won't watch much of it. I lost interest when my Redbirds got blown out (still haven't recovered!).

I'm a mets fan ,we had really disappointing season.Part of me says root for NY since they are another NY team and part of me says root for Phillies as they are an NL team and NL plays baseball the way it should be played (no DH).But really I have no dog in the fight and just think it will be a good series and very competetive so will watch.

There is no way the Yankees lose against the Phillies. For every Cliff Lee, New York has a C.C Sabathia and A.J Burnett. Oh, and a Rivera.
