yeah its 100% real. i did the same as vonrik to see it really worked. and sure enough it did, then i sang it into my mic while listening to it so i could get the timing and stuff right, and even then it said it. not every word was right tho, cuz you gotta say it exactly like he did, but you could hear most of it. crazy crazy

i hear ya man, that song was like stuck in my head for a few days. im in a rock band and we played some of our stuff backward to find a few things, but nothing satanic, just a few words or phrases here and there. now we are gonna make a song with no words, then reverse the music, put words to it, then reverse it back to normal so we will have forward music with reverse speech. we got the idea from radiohead's spinning plates, but they did the words forward and the music backward. it should be pretty sweet

how or why would a band ever do that anyway? it takes enough time to make a good song, i couldnt imagine how long it would take to write satanic messages backwards AND write a good song at the same time.

now, the first part didnt make much sense to me so i figured that it was written purely so that when reversed it would say the satanic message. so i attempted to make sense of it, i came up with this.
what it says:

what it means:
if theres a bunch up in your shrubs(i was confused, because a bustle is a gathering of material at the back of a woman's skirt below the waist, and hedgerow is like a row of bushes or shrubs, so is this song like talking about a bunch up in your shrubs, or somethign else, hmm, makes me think) its just a clean up for a bug(possibly a lady bug?) ( so if it was talking about a bug, then that means that the first sentence is about shrubs...)

now matter how far you travel down one path, there is always time to correct it.

From what I understand the vocals were recorded forwards, Thom Yorke learned to sing them backwards, recorded them this way, and then recorded the backwards vocals backwards for the track (which would now be essentially "forwards." Don't ask me why!
The live version's a lot betta anyway.

Aye, I love Like Spinning Plates. The chord progression is so odd that I thought maybe it was written backwards to begin with, but I reversed it on my computer and it sounds just as odd that way 'round! Also, the synthy backing is really punchy and strong when you reverse it! I do love the live version too. It's worth buying the I Might Be Wrong live album just for that track.
I wrote a heavy yet mellow song a couple of years back and reversed it just for fun, and it actually sounds really good backwards. Like a totally different song. The words sound like "My love's not ready, my brain fears all love today, my sick brain, I'd love to stay..."
