It's sad that it was easier to think it was a "devil dog" than it was to realize that dogs don't think like we do and sometimes like to chew things because they are dogs and that's what a lot of them do.

Am I the only one who thought of the Marines when they first read the phrase "devil dog"? I bet StanScratch is happy that at least she isn't from Ohio.

You know, I just started reading God Is Not Great by Christopher Hitchens. I found chapter 2, 'Religion Kills', to be informative, and this news story would fit neatly into the chapter.

The defense of religion - any of them - shrinks daily. Science and logic have long since left them behind and morality was always a gray area for religions. Any good ideas that come from these also come from Humanism...without the fairy tale beliefs and uncountable number of people slaughtered or ruined.
