Hell no. I love curves on a woman. Stick thin is gross, and straight up and down with no hips is manly. Eff that. Curves FTW.

Thats because they are so homely that they've given up.
its a cop out.

Its like the guys in the gym who workout like pussys, no balls, no heart.
Its because they have no fortitude, but when asked , "why don't you try to go a little heavier" they say, "Because I don't want to get that big".
But its really because theyre just Nancy boy gutless fruity jerkoffs who can't take the pain and puss out after a few reps.

man glad I got that off my chest

What am I doing here?
:eeew: Women are supposed to be curvy. How can we admire the female form if it's no different than the male form? (aside from genitalia, of course)...

...or maybe they don't want to walk around and look like they're about to say "I lift things up and put them down!"

Hell No! Gimme that size 16 gal in the pic in that link any day of the week. I don't wanna caress a damn pole. If a girl is thin is one thing, but to have a shape like a damn cylinder is something else entirely. You know what always baffled me? The fact that all of these stick thin supermodels are held up as the standard of beauty and that standard is determined by a bunch of men who don't even like to fuck women.

I don't think it's about wanting to look like a tube, I think it's more about wanting to be accepted by society and unfortunately the voices of men who like their size 0 models is louder than those who actually like real women.

Plus, a size 12, 14, 16, is all considered "plus size." This translates to "fat" for a lot of folks...even if a girl is curvy and cushy in all the right places.

Until the fashion world, hollywood, and even the porn industry start featuring "real" looking women instead of those who are genetically blessed (or surgically blessed), yea...real women are going to keep trying to obtain the unobtainable. That size 0, androgynous look.

Ok, so women don't wanna have hip, ass and breast anymore ?
They should also ask for a dick and a pair of balls...

what the fuck you lookin at?
hell no! I love women with curves. A little extra meat isn't bad either. I do mean a little. not fat, but maybe a size above perfection is fine. I need something to look at when we're out and something to grab onto when we're in bed. A "tubular" woman would be so boring. Also to hell with the skeleton look. That shit makes me nauseous

Not all fashion designers are gay across the board and it certainly is consumed (pictures of the models etc...) by straight men and women too.

I think why fashion models are so obtuse to the norm is because they're selling a product; which happens to be clothing. Essentially these women are coat hangers....I would say the male models are too.

You don't want the shape of your model taking precedence over your product; the only time I can think that it's okay for models to take a bigger role in being noticed are the lingerie shows like Victoria's Secret. Then it's okay for the model to get a ton of attention; otherwise just look at what's draping over her, that's it.

As far as my personal opinion about the 3 example models I'm not sure. Right now I don't have a clearly defined one like others have voiced; each of them I can appreciate and wouldn't mind having a go with. I had thought I would have a clear "winner" above the others but that doesn't seem to be the case at the moment; I'm wondering if that's a good thing or not, I'm not sure.

However I can say this, if 8 gets any smaller she's going to be way to thin.

In love with my hand.
I love having boobs and a bum and when i work out have the hourglass shape in mind, not straight up and down like a boy! weird

yes but how do fashion designers expect people to "get" their clothing ideas and eventually purchase a piece if you can't see how it'd fit on a normal sized woman? I've seen runway shows in person and I honestly can't tell how an item of clothing would look on my size 6 frame because it looks limp and lifeless on the size 0 runway model. It'd make more common sense to have a variety of different sizes on the runway to model clothing because then the everyday woman can get a better idea of what the item of clothing would look like on their body. It'd bring fresh new life to fashion IMO and could only improve the appearance of a designers work of art.

Yep...there definitely is a lot of pressure. Thats why I love the Dove campaign so much, because they realized the flaw in the messages being sent out from various mediums of entertainment and advertising, and are trying to reverse it. Its nice seeing a plus sized woman with stretchmarks featured in their ads...because thats what real looks like. But I agree with you, I think women who want to be thin are mostly doing it because of constantly hearing men be critical of the female body with their preferences, and seeing beauty and perfection everywhere in movies, tv, music, porn, advertising etc etc etc.

This is totally right, but I think it's even more insidious than this. From day #1 out of the womb, we're bombarded with ideas about ideal body shape and gender stereotypes. Let's make barbie the right shape, make sure boys play with easy bake ovens, and all play with play dough more often.

I fucking hate bullshit like this.
