Working @ a shipyard has some nice advantages.

As most of you probably know I work @ a shipyard and some of my co-workers are mechanics. One of them used to be a car mechanic for 17yrs before he became a boat mechanic and because cars cost a lot to keep on the road he's going to give me a course in basic car maintenance. He's going to teach me how to chance the oil+oil filter and other fluids a car uses, change the sparkplugs, brake pads and basically everything I can do myself to keep my car (and my girlfriends car) in good condition. It will save us a lot of money over the years and I will also know for sure we won't get ripped off :)

I'm touching myself right now!
I was hoping to hear some kind of story involving a female. Kind of like how construction workers whistle at chicks walking by.

I ran out of lube. Can I borrow yours?
Well I say its great that you are willing to learn about vehicle maintenance, it will save you a TON of money in the long run especially when you can replace a part for like $50 yourself instead of taking it to a mechanic and being charged $150 for parts and services.

What are your duties at the shipyard?

I do administrative work but sometimes when it's very very busy I help out on the workfloor. It's fun sometimes to get my hands dirty and have fun with the guys. Recently I've gotten interested in mechanical stuff, that's why I'm getting a course in basic car maintenance.

That's what I was thinking as well and @ the shipyard are all the tools I need and a forklift truck for when I need to raise the car (all the mechanics work on their cars @ the yard on saturday mornings when they need to). I'm actually getting my first lesson saturday morning.

Good for you; self reliance is a great thing.
Cost effective too, as long as you do it right the first time. ;)

Good for you, Boothbabe!

what the fuck you lookin at?
Are you fuckin this guy? Or suckin him off? Cause I promise you he's only helping you like this as he hopes to get something sexual in return. Like I said in your other thread about some random jackass helping you. Some guys are suckers for a pretty face and nice ass. And will do anything for you even when they know they probably won't get shit for it. Others of us aren't that easy!

Why are all the hot, intelligent girls that are also interested in cars and technology lesbian?! :(

There's a universal garage nearby where we live and one of the mechanics is a very hot redhead girl. As I understand it from what I've been told she's one of the best mechanics in town and she's heterosexual. There's only a few thousand miles between the two of you :1orglaugh

First of all, as you know I'm a lesbian so no, I'm not fucking him or sucking him off. It's also a very stupid comment to make. Secondly, he's 27yrs older then me and happily married and he's willing to teach me because he has a big heart. Thirdly, I'm paying him (I offered it to him) because he's giving up some of his spare time to teach me. If I were to get lessons at some kind of mechanics school it would be much more expensive. And lastly, the guy who polished and waxed our cars will indeed do anything for a pretty face but I did buy him a case of beer and my girlfriend also bought him a case of beer after he did her car. He didn't want to accept it @ first because we're co-workers but I insisted on it. We're not the kind of people to take advantage of someone.

Nice to see a woman (especially one as gorgeous as you) working in such (I assume) male dominated workplace. Very admirable to know a girl taking interest in how to maintain a car, most of the women I know barely know how to change tires etc (I kid you not). Well keep up the learning and let us know how your going from time to time.

Love xXx.
