I like The Rock and The Island, otherwise I completely agree as far as anything he'd produced/directed. Seen the new Friday The 13th trailer? GOD AWFUL. Just looking through his profile on IMDB, I noticed Nightmare On Elm Street slated for next year. Oh how I fear seeing even a trailer for that garbage. Ugh.

It was far superior to the 1989 Punisher movie with Dolph Lundgren, Louis Gossett Jr. and Jeroen Krabbé.....

Actually.I think that Micheal Bay is a really good director.You know exactly what you are going to get with his movies.Sure it's over the top action,but that's precisely what I like about them.

He is also undoubtedly the best action director today.Who else has the unprecedented level of military cooperation and access in their movies?Nobody.Who else blows up more shit and at a grander scale without the use of CG?Nobody.

I understand that people don't like his stuff,but from a technical film making perspective,I don't think their is another action director that can hold a candle to him,with the exception of John Woo,but he's even more over the top.And I love it as well.

I love a good action movie, no problems with them at all if done well but Bay is shite, he edit’s the shit out of the action scenes beyond all comprehension. Action scenes have a narrative just as dialogue scenes, but his are totally incoherent.
