Would you buy (read) books-novels.....

if they were not in prose, bur in screenplay format?
I find it easier to write stories as scripts than novels in the common form.
Scripts are more detailed and even the story is longer make me easie way to translate the story. What do you think?

Why save the world, when you can rule it?
I have access to this wunderbar building called a library. I read allmost all I desire and barely pay a penny.

I changed my middle-name to Freeones
Novels. They set tones and settings better than a screenplay format can.

i prefer the novel format, but maybe one day i'll come across a screenplay (or theater play) that i like.
and now for the self-promoting link:
my books on amazon
my sales have gone up month after month, by the way. especially methods of suicide is popular, which is why i'm now writing a sequel to be called methods of execution. if sales continue to increase like this i'll be able to quit my day job in 2 years or so... :)

oh! now i am doomed... so waht can I do, write the scripts and find someone else converting it to novels? I have long dialogues and I find them hard to have them like in novels i prefer

What are you gaining with all these, Gabriel?

Gabriel gets off the back seat and runs throught the parking lot before someone elses see him

The reason you find it easier to write scripts, is because scripts are simpler in almost every way. You're more concerned with dialogue in scripts. How in the world do you even begin to consider scripts being more detailed than a novel?

Your problem is you don’t know to write the details. You need to Learn. Try starting with writing, in detail, where you live, places you know well. then move on from there. I find the best way to break up dialogue is through emotive exposition. By describing what goes on internally, how the character feels, do they shuffle their feet? Your little script there could be pulled out into over a page for a novel, after everything is detailed properly. It's hard to do a good story justice in a novel. To find that balance between enough detail and bogging the story down with scenery. If your scripts arent all "sci-fi" based (needing special effects) you could contact a local drama troop and see if they would like to perform your scripts as plays.

Good luck!

You are right, I need more practicing. The problem with making a dialogue last more is that I have planned 60 episodes of 40-45 minutes each... so turning into novels woul make them become a Bible...

Scripts are more detailed? The story is longer?
What planet are you living on? There is far more detail in a novel, the sense of place, character etc. & what has story length got to do with anything? Not forgetting the pleasure of reading well written prose. Scripts are pointless in themselves.
If you find it easier to write stories as scripts then you are not a very good writer.

The question is flawed to begin with, and makes no sense. If it's in screenplay format, then that's what it is. You can't have a novel in screenplay format.....you are then just reading a screenplay that has covers. If you don't like prose, don't read it. It's as simple as that.

knows petras secret: she farted.
if its good and of interest, id give it a shot. a relative of mine used to write great stories in this format.

Maybe I wrote ir wrong. Novels can have a 2 hour story in 300 pages. I will be writing scripts for 1 hour tv weekly(but i dont have how to film it, so nobody would know about my story) (which makes 45 pages average) So turning it into novel would make it like 90...

You completely dont understand what makes a novel. To say that a novel is a 2 hour story in 300 pages is very limited. A 300 page novel can span any amount of time the author wishes, generations even.

Here are your options:
A: start shopping your scripts around and try to get them made. Try the smaller networks first, don't go straight to FOX or NBC. Try AMC or FX.

B: Take some classes and learn to write to turn your scripts into Novels.

To answer your initial question. NO. No one will buy your stories as "scripts" to read for leisure. There is a LARGE script writing community online, if all you're concerned about is ggetting your story told, release all your scripts online for free. people will read them.
