I allready intervened when I saw a man beating a woman on the street. If it was a guy been beating up, he has to deal with his own shit.

Then, get some other people together, so you can crowd the beater. Going alone is a bit tricky, I am not as fit as I was some ten, twenty years ago.

If it is a small guy or a kid, I would definetly move in and try to help

Many times if you see a man and woman fighting on the street it's 2 degenerates, try breaking them up and more than likely you'll be fighting both of them.

Gotta use extreme discretion in these situations.

I wouldn't intervene in either case because, well I'm a tiny girl and I know I'd wind up getting my ass beat too. But I'd call the cops, or if I was with other people, I'd go as a group to try to interject...but only if it was a girl getting beat up, if it were a dude getting the beatdown, I'd probably only try to call the cops or step in if I got the sense that he was being mugged or something..if its two idiots fighting each other, then fuck em. You can usually tell if its two guys fighting, or if its someone attacking another in an attempt to rob or kill them.

Though the only time I have ever gotten into a real fight was because my Ex's (She was my girlfriend at the time) stepdad punched her in the face causing her lip and nose to bleed. I was not about to let that slide.

Also keep in mind that all women aren't little innocent angels, sometimes its them beating the guy or acting all crazy and the guy is just trying to calm her down and sometimes a girl can just be trying to get the guy arrested or in trouble by causing a scene a playing the victim.

That is why I said it would depend. I've known some women that were fucking brutal.

Depends on the situation I guess, I normally mind my own business but wouldn't hesitate calling the cops. My cousins husband told me he once stopped a guy hitting his girlfriend and when he did they both started arguing with him as some couples are just fucked up like that. ps People now fight for differing reasons like drug debts or gang warfare and you don't want to get caught in the middle of that, you could put yourself and your family in harms way sad as it sounds. In my city it's generally best to just keep to your own shit and be on your way. But, I've seen quite a few street fights in my day and I've witnessed a number of tough MFs get involved just because they were bout it like that.

Yes I would and I have. Most recently I stopped three teenagers who were beating on one of my neighbors and I have stopped a few men from beating on their wives or girlfriends. Some of them would surprise you but I signed non disclosure agreements and can't identify them. It's pretty hard to restrain myself sometimes when I've dealt with guys who are significantly larger than their wimmens but I don't want to get in too much trouble over excessive force.

I intervened. Once.
It was during the 1920s, somewhere on the depression-lorn streets of Europe. I saw a youth being beat up by seven other people who were "different" from he. He had no chance. So I stepped in and helped.
The youth had been beat to an almost bloody pulp by these ruffians who, shall I say, were of a "different faith" from the two of us. We discussed these ruffians for literally hours, I explaining to him their wrath and destruction to not only the civilized world throughout history, but their roll in the death of a spiritual leader. I could see the pure hatred in his face for those others - little did I know of the seed I had planted.
As a result, he cut a swath of terror and destruction over the European continent of historic proportions, destroying the lives of millions and changing the very course of history. Even lands physically untouched by the European nations were psychologically touched by this man's reign of terror to such an extent, they lent a hand in this man's downfall.
Since then, no. I cannot raise my hand to help another man. For, the consequences could shatter our planet's very future. For, were I to raise my hand in the aid of another being attacked, our planet could be introduced to another Alex Douglas-Home. May the gods spat on his soul.

I would intervene in some kind of way.. it depends on the situation.. I am not gonna standby and watch anybody get manhandled especially if its somebody that can't fend for themselves like an elder, girl or child..

To be honest, I'd probably be more reluctant / hesitant if its some guy is in trouble but I would more than likely end up doing something to help em' (You always think too yourself, if that was you, you'd want somebody to help you.) :2 cents:

I would call the police, but lets be honest 99% of the time police investigate situations after the fact of a crime has been committed, they are seldom there to save a person in there most desperate time and need of help.

That said, I don't embrace altercations or go out of my way looking for trouble, (like bloodshot mentioned, I mostly mind my own business) but the fact is, most of the time I am strapped up, and if I thought I could, would or knew I'd probably be saving somebodies life, I prolly would (I surely don't have or carry my weapon to go out my way too play a hero, I ONLY have it for personal protection) but sometimes you just gotta do what you got to do, when the time comes. :anonymous
