Freeones is my God
Anyone else notice the move to this forum has totally killed this thread in terms of discussion? I completely appreciate stek1983 filling me in every few days, but this thread is so out of the way now that its just not as busy as it should be. Silly politics.

i much preferred the thread in the "Freeones Talk" section and the move has defiantly killed the thread, but hell, at least there is still a place where us WWE fans can chat and share opinions.

Personally, I love this thread, but that's because I didn't get a chance to see the other one.

Keep up the great work STEK!

Hey, did you hear that your girl Christy Hemme made an appearance on the TNA Pay-Per-View last night?

thank you, when i get news about the WWE, i just have to share.
AmericanHarley did the same, i feel this thread deserves it.

Hemme with TNA huh?
was always on the cards, WWE made a stupid mistake letting her go.
i hope she does well with TNA.
unfortunately, i'll not be able to watch as i don't get the channel that shows it.

what you guys think of the whole McMahonism?
pretty stupid don't you think?
and are we suppose to believe that God was setting the pyros off on Raw.
the only way the WWE are gonna get out of this without looking stupid is to have Shane turn face and come out and saying something like "Dad, you've gone to far with this McMahonism crap, i set the pyros off"
then maybe a little Vince/Shane feud.

Search Function? What's that?
vince has lost the plot where is he going with this storyline

Hmmm, actually that might be a pretty good turn with the storyline.

This whole McMahonism thing just seems weak...like just a way for Vince to rib Micheals since he's "born again", and prolong an already dull and horse-beaten storyline.

I'm no fan of Micheals (YOU SCREWED BRET!!!), but put the guy and his talents in another story arc.

I've never really been a huge HBK fan, i'm not saying i dislike him but just not a fan... but he did steal the show at WrestleMania, that match was one of the best of the night.

i hope that's the way the McMahonism storyline goes.
it's the only way they can without them having God in the WWE, a stupid idea.

Hey, you know McMahon's rules on storytelling.

There are no rules! No subject is taboo. The more people might be offended by it the better an idea it might be.

What faith, if any, is Vince anyway?

BTW, Christy's TNA appearance wasn't much from what I heard. SHe walked down to the rign carrying an envelope...handed it to the guy in the ring...smiled, turned, and walked back up the ramp.

Brock Lesnar & WWE Settle Lawsuit

Dave Meltzer reports that Brock Lesnar and WWE have reached a settlement agreement on the non-compete lawsuit.

Lesnar had been looking to get out of his no-compete clause.

Lesnar will be able to compete in wrestling and ultimate fighting with certain stipulations that were agreed upon. This was said to not be a full victory for Lesnar although it does help him out. Although it was not disclosed, it is believed he will not be able to work for TNA

Lesnar is said to be considering doing MMA, now that he is legally able.

Kurt Angle worked the house show yesterday and will work again today. He is said to be really hurting as of late though and may need to take time off.

Gunner Scott (Brent Albright) defeated Gregory Helms to capture the WWE Cruiserweight championship during a Smackdown house show in Stuttgart, Germany just several hours ago.

Hmmm, Angle's hurt...Batista's recovering, Orton's suspended....looks like Rey might hold the title for quite some time.

What a Golden opportunity for the other WWE talent on Smackdown.

Reminds me of the opportunitiess that were develped when HHH had his quad injury. And wasn't Austin out for a while around the same time?

Curious to see what happens next.

Sabu Signs With WWE

Terry Brunk better known as Sabu has officially signed a WWE contract last night.
Sabu was currently working for TNA Wrestling and is better known for his appearances with ECW in the 1990’s.

The contract which Sabu signed with WWE will last for one year with an option to renew the contract at the end of the year’s deal.

This near enough confirms that Sabu will be appearing at the ECW One Night Stand II this year. More details will be available soon. Sabu’s website can be reached at www.officialsabu.com.

looks like he'll be on Raw, unless he's just gonna be working the new ECW.
i forgot to post it on here but the WWE are bringing back ECW and Paul Heyman will be running it.
it's unknown if they'll be doing just house shows are if they'll be on TV.

----------

The Wrestling Observer is reporting today that according to sources in WWE, earlier reports regarding Sabu signing with the company for the new ECW brand is true, but premature at this point.

Sabu has not actually signed the deal due to no contracts being sent out quite yet to former ECW talent that WWE has verbally agreed to deals with. This news is basically considered a formality at this point as he has agreed to terms verbally with WWE and it is possible he could be at the RAW taping next Monday in Columbus, OH.

Although it is possible he may not be in Columbus this Monday to speak with WWE, early reports have indicated that if he does go to TV, he could be speaking with WWE officials about the new ECW. It is also possible that WWE could be debut the ECW angle next Monday as well after the Backlash PPV. Of course, plans are always subject to change so we will continue to follow this story as it develops.

A WWE vs. ECW Head to Head special is planned to go ahead on the USA Network during the week of the second ECW One Night Stand PPV. It has been said that the special event will likely be taped on June 7 in Dayton, Ohio, which was scheduled to be a SmackDown taping at one point. No date has been announced for the WWE vs. ECW Head to Head special.

The WWE’s website is now advertising the Dayton event as a RAW Live event. At the moment there are no listed dates for the SmackDown taping for that week. This looks like WWE is still in the process of setting up their finalized plans for that week. Tickets for the Dayton ‘RAW Live’ event go on sale May 6.

Jonathan Coachman is currently on the WWE's tour of Europe, and thus he won't be able to call Heat on WWE.com this week. For one week only, Joey Styles will be doing the play by play for Heat. He plans to be less restrained in his commentary on Heat than he is on Raw.

WWE.com has posted the latest edition of Foley is Blog.

People who subscribe to the new WWE Mobile Alerts program will up-to-the-minute updates on everything that goes down at this Sunday's Backlash pay-per-view.

Several people are saying that John Cena's MySpace page was hacked and/or shut down yesterday. If it was deleted, the URL of the site was quickly re-registered by a teenager out of California. WWE.com removed the link to the MySpace page from John Cena's Superstars page earlier today.

----------

In regard to the fan attempting to attack HBK at a RAW show in Europe, according to reports and fan sent in items, it looks like that the reason the fan tried to attack HBK at last night’s show in Belfast, Northern Ireland was due to Michaels pulling a pair of Bret Hart sunglasses off of his face, which prompted the incident. It’s been reported that the fan was chanting that Shawn "screwed Bret" which Shawn reacted to. If any other readers were at the show and can give details about what happened, send me an email.

There is an article up on WWE's website about Michael Cole recently being name the new managing editor of WWE.com.

As noted yesterday, WWE is currently looking at booking House Shows for the new ECW brand at venues ECW use to run in the past. These locations include Philadelphia (WWE is looking at an event on June 24 at the former ECW Arena), Detroit, Chicago, Poughkeepsie, Buffalo, Cleveland, Boston, Fort Lauderdale, Tampa, Long Island, various spots throughout New Jersey, Pittsburgh and of course the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City.

Tommy Dreamer has been contacting former ECW talent about deals. There have been continuous meetings all week in Stamford, CT about ECW and how it will play out. A.M RAW at 2AM (the replay) has been pulling 1.0 ratings as of late.

There is also a small note up on WWE's website about their new wireless service providing updates from the Backlash PPV this Sunday night.
