.. I just think that the Yeah Yeah Yeahs are fucking boring.

Sorry if that upsets anyone. They are so banal to me.

Never really heard much of their music, so I can't possibly say. Doesn't seem like I would like them if I did though :dunno:

Yes, I bribed and cheated to get this far
sure, but I wouldn't mind a roll in the hay with their singer.

Ummm sorry timbo, it seems we are of the same mind on most subjects but I have to strongly disagree with you on this subject.

I think the Yeah yeah yeahs are quite unique and awesome. I learned of them prolly 07 or 08 when I 1st saw the video for "maps" I think the lead singer is very powerful with her vocals and her intensity but in a way she seems as though she's emotionless in a Steven Wright type sense. if you can relate or know whom I am speaking of.

I am not sure what "banal" means I didn't seek the definition yet. but just by the rest of the message I surmised you were not excited nor do you enjoy or for that matter like the Triple Y's music.

For me its like Deja Vu that you started this thread, cuz just last night before midnight EST. in Detroit,Mi I was watching one of their video's and getting excited about the upcoming session I was going to have with my desktop computer, which therefore, I was going to start another playlist consisting of all the Yeah yeah yeahs music because I enjoy it so much.

Mind you I am all over the boundaries of music, taste wise. Cuz I love all types of metal, hard rock, allot of Rap / R & B, contemporary top 40 stuff, FUNK, Blues, a bit of the industrial music you'd hear @ what the IN crowd refers to as raves these days. but I love music.

In wrapping this up I must admit the triple Y's hit me like a sledge hammer. it was just different and since I 1st heard "maps" I put allot of their music on my current playlist, and I've grown to love there music, so I just wanted to express my thoughts on the subject since you started an entire thread about them. :D :hatsoff:

I can't concede cos there isn't any concession to make but I fully empathise.

I like their music. Maybe not enough to buy their album, but it's far from bad. Music is very subjective in nature so if you don't like it, that's fine, but don't try to convince us to take your words as fact.
