I'm too lazy to set a usertitle.
I'm in the market currently for something better than the Sony crap I have as a deck right now. The thing skips worse than any stereo in history, even though it's like new. I'm leaning towards JVC, Aiwa, Blaupunkt or Kenwood, although Alpine has always been the best, IMO. Pioneer stereos have always tended to have a sharper, more ear-piercing sound to me for some reason, so I tend to stay away from them because I play my music LOUD. I'd like opinions, preferably on what people have had the best success with stereos that skip little or none.

I just bought a Kenwood two months ago. The eXcelon series come with a two year warranty which is nice. I've owned an Alpine before and they are good, but it seems like they tend to be more expensive for less features.

I've heard good things about Kenwood. One of my friends has one. A lot of the new ones come with the front USB which is almost essential today. In fact most new stereos today come with the front USB.

Alpine! I love the instant "almost mute" button. Great when your playing your music loud and you notice a cop car all of a sudden.

I suppose you just establish what features you want and basically one is just a good as another.

IMO it depends on the care....honestly.

Fuck the rest, Freeones is the best!
Pioneer, Alpine and Kenwood offer the best systems on the market. Depending on what you are looking for they all offer similar models but Kenwood has an advantage on GPS since they are partnered with Garmen.
