Your favorite alcoholic drink?

I used to like Boulevard but burned myself out on it, now it tastes too sweet for me

My favorite beers ever are either Fat Tire or Beck's Octoberfest... my mouth is just craving either one right now since it is so hot where i'm at today. Except obviously Beck's Octoberfest isn't available this time of year

Where do you live? There are better beers than anything from Beck's being brewed all over the US (Beck's is part of the InBev-AB group which are not noted for beer quality)

Whiskey, preferably Jack Daniels, straight up. On rare occasions I'll mix it with 7up, even though I realize that's considered somewhat uncivilized

Technically they really should really call these so-called pear cider's a Perry.

Not necessarily mrtrebus. In some cases it is just marketing but in others there is actually a difference.

Perry is a beverage made entirely from pears (as opposed to any other fruit or pear juice concentrate)

Pear cider can be an apple cider flavoured with pears and/or with juice concentrate in there

Of course all commercially available ciders and perries are rubbish. Real cider should be made at home, have twigs in it and taste ever so slightly of ham.

Not all commercial ciders or perries are rubbish.Certainly stuff like Magners,Strongbow and the like which appear in supermarkets are pretty poor examples but there are quite a few small but nevertheless commercial cider and perry makers whose products are outstanding.
