Ah, you were born the year ...And Justice For All came out. That takes some of the sting out of your critique. lol I bought it new off the rack. I got Master of Puppets for Christmas in 1986. When those albums were new and first came out, even the Black Album, there wasn't anything like it. Now don't get me wrong, I loved Slayer, Anthrax, and Megadeth, too, but Metallica were king of the hill for a reason. I have no problem admitting that Load was a marked departure and I really haven't regained the enthusiasm I lost after that milestone, but I did go see them in concert in 2004, Godsmack was their opening act, and that was one of the best shows I've been too.
