I'm curious how you were able to determine that? i scan files using two programs (avast and malwarebytes) and they didnt pick anything up. Does d.maxfile.ro have a reputation for sending bad links out or something?

I got a warning through either avg or malwarebytes... can't remember which...

It was probably AVG, i've heard of that name before and some gamers have told me that it has a tendency to flag false positives. With games though its easier to say that it is a false positive because if the game or patches are being downloaded from the official website (not mirrors) what else could it be? with your claim though i cant say with 100% certainty that it is or isnt a false positive cause i dont deal with that .ro site and its the first time i've seen these tumblr animators using it. But i'm leaning a bit more towards it being a false positive i just lack the tools or know-how to confirm it.
