Recommend me some PS2 Games

yeah, so what? i've had this system for ages, and have never owned a game for it.

i dont know why, but suddenly im excited to start using it.



recommend and talk about some of your favourite titles for the playstation 2.


im big into RPGs for the record.

Another one I played the shit out of:

It's a button masher with no RPG elements that I can remember but it's fun as hell, and it's Lord of the Rings. And that soundtrack.

no RPG but very good games metal gear solid 2 & grand theft auto vice city are the very best games on PS2
also god of war 2, need for speed underground and soulcalibur 3 are damn good
the simpsons hit and run is pretty cool and fun too

and if you looking for a RPG i gonna say final fantasy x2 & jade cocoon 2

i think im gonna get dragon quest viii (im a huge dragon quest/warrior fan)
and final fantasy x 2 for christmas maybe.

MGS2 should come with a warning of being super confusing even by Metal Gear standards ha, it is good though. Snake Eater could be more accessible.
SSX is really good too but go for Tricky and/or 3 ahead of the original.

i own the original metal gear on NES. never actually beaten it, but got right to the end. i probably could take the new ones. i have never played anything after MG2 on nes. ill try those. i heard they were decent.

the snowboarding has got me spooked though. how can it be that fun? i keep finding it in the top 20 PS2 game lists. i mean, sure, tony hawk was ok.. but snowboarding?

are you people sure?

Freedom Fighters is a fucking awesome game that's totally underrated.

i found metal gear VR (ps1) second hand for a couple of bucks today. i quickly found out that that i should have left it there.

i know i know, not the good one. no story, buncha puzzles. i know.


i also got grand turismo 2 (ps1). i dont know why, but i always wanted one of those. and now that i've played it, i still don't know why.


where the fuck are my ps2 games?! the mail is BS fucking slow right now.

State of Emergency (just mindless killing; when at the time it was arcade massacre fun)
Katamari Damacy
Bard's Tale
Bloodyrayne II
Dead to Rights
Romance of the Three Kingdoms (if you're into ancient Chinese history strategy game)
