Should I feel bad about liking BBW porn?

grower_boy

A woman is an occasional pleasure but a cigar is always a smoke.
The idea for this thread comes from this one:

http://board.freeones.com/showthrea...rl-haters-out-there!!!!&p=7729536#post7729536

In that thread, a number of us agreed that the bony/beautiful site was wrong. We agreed that it promoted a dangerous lifestyle and sent a bad message to any young women who might have seen it.

It got me to thinking...am I a hypocrite for enjoying BBW porn? These sites promote what is often an unhealthy or downright dangerous lifestyle (being overweight) as sexy. These sites send a message to women that it's ok to gain weight, because men will still like you and want to be with you. For all I know, many stars of this genre don't have incentive to lose weight because of the money they're making.

I'm a very skinny guy who weighs about 45 pounds less than he did in high school. I have always felt great about losing all thay weight. I'd hate to think my "chubby chasing" and BBW porn watching ways promote early graves for women.

Insert funny comment here.
There is nothing wrong with liking thin girls or liking fat girls, and I don't think having porn in these genres promotes unhealthy lifestyles. What it does promote though is to be proud of the way you are and know that people find you attractive large or small.

If someone is dangerously over/under weight then yes, it is a problem but most of the time being skinny or fat is down to genetics and not much can be done about it.

BBW doesn't necessarily translate into being unhealthy. It's a different story if you're getting off on watching a 500 lb + woman scarf down cheeseburgers, but most of the stuff I've seen that is classified as BBW isn't to that extreme at all, and I don't see anything wrong with it. It's just a body type, one that can be just as attractive as any other.

O.G.
I disagree that BBW sites promote being overweight. These sites cater to an interest, that's all. Just like any other 'genre' does.

Women are not encouraged to be overweight by these sites; in fact, I'd say that they're appreciated for being so.

If a 'BBW' was earning money as a 'BBW', and then lost weight; what would keep her from earning the same/more/less money as a thinner person?

So, IMO, if anything, these BBW sites actually demonstrate that BBW's are in fact, big beautiful women.

Thanks. That's a good way to put it. I don't like any of the extreme stuff (even a lot of the "mainstream"BBW stars are too much for me), but I am a fan of the genre.

Good thinking. But do you think maybe it promotes being overweight to its female audience?

I like women of all sizes, but I definitely like how BBWs are gaining ground. Imagine how much bigger BBW porn will be five years from now.

Yes. You should feel bad(ly). But only because of your grammar.

Really? I thought I had it right.

No, you shouldn't feel bad about it. People like what they like. Have you ever dated a BBW?

I haven't, but I am definitely open to doing so. That would be another case where I would feel that I'm kind of promoting unhealthy lifestyles, but people in this thread are convincing me otherwise.

I joined ‘cause I was ‘high’!
I feel there's a point when a girl can be too skinny or too fat, and that's where I draw the line. I think it's because I don't feel comfortable seeing them unhealthy and presented to us naked or having sex. I feel guilty looking at them. I guess too skinny would be when you see more ribs than skin, and too fat would be more than 280 pounds. It probably comes down to personal opinion, though.

I don't know and frankly I don't care.

Maybe in some small way it might promote being a bigger woman, but that's not the focus. I'd say the prime reason there's such a stigma for BBW, or thick women in general even outside of porn, is that the message is for women to appreciate their bodies, feel confident and sexy, and not get so self conscious because of their weight. For the longest time, skinny has been "in", and it still is, but so is thick. It's been given terms like curvy, voluptuous, and Big Beautiful Woman, whereas in the past there's mostly only been negative terms for it.

We live in a very materialistic, superficial world that's dominated by media, which primarily uses thin women in their advertisements. Many women strive to look like them, but now that there's been some public figures, like the Kardashians, who promote being a sexy, confident, bigger woman, women are becoming more proud of their bodies just the way they are, no matter what shape or size.

The only thing I take issue with, other than what I mentioned in the other thread about the extremes, is when like Andi pointed out, men and women bash other body types and glorify only one. It's absolutely fantastic to be happy with a particular type, but it's not ok in my book to put down other people due to your own standards.

I read a magazine article once about men who are into the whole feeders thing, men who chase bigger women and enjoy watching them eat and feeding them. One of the magazine editors, who was a thin woman, went into a club that was used as a hangout spot for them, and one of the larger women said to her, "How do you feel knowing that you're the least attractive woman in here?" And when she went to speak with some of the guys, one of the men said, "All men want big women. They pretend to want skinny girls and take them as their girlfriends, because they can't take a big woman home to their family. So they have their skinny girlfriends, and go out to fuck big women on the side. Any man who says otherwise is lying."

That's an awful thing to say, it's mean, and it's degrading. It's absolutely okay to like either thin or thick women, but to have the nerve to say that only your type of woman is attractive is fucked up. That article almost completely made me lose all respect for people of that lifestyle, but I haven't because I know that they're not all the same. I have seen many men talk about how skinny women are ugly and disgusting, saying only fat girls (or other choice word) are sexy, etc. But you know what? Men who prefer thinner women say exactly the same things sometimes about big girls, calling them gross, nasty, and so on.

Anyway... no, there's nothing wrong with liking BBW porn. Just so long as you don't act like the guys I mentioned above :)

Really? I thought I had it right.

You did fine.

The word bad is an adjective used to modify nouns and pronouns. Example: She was in a bad accident.
Adverbs often end in ly. The word badly is an adverb that answers how about the verb. Example: She was hurt badly in the accident.

The confusion comes with four of the sense verbs: taste, look, smell, and feel.

When we use these verbs actively, we should follow them with adverbs. (Hear is always used actively.)
When we use these verbs descriptively, we should follow them with adjectives.

Example: I feel bad about having said that.
I am not feeling with fingers in the above example; I am describing my state of mind, so the adjective is used (no ly).

Example: She feels badly since her fingers were burned.
She feels with her fingers here so the adverb (ly form) is used.

I just got 500 myFreeOnes points!
Nah, why should we feel bad for what we like? Did you sit down one day to conciously decide what your turn-ons should be?
Neither did I. Though I will admit that media exposure has played a part in shaping it.

I like women who are skinny in the right places, with big tits and big, round butts (I'm very OK with implants). Not a great body image for young women, perhaps, but I see absolutely no reason to feel bad about it.
Heck, with the chances of me ever getting it on with a woman like that, it's probably more unhealthy for me than anyone else. :D

Fat chicks aren't for everyone. I'm an unashamed chubby-chaser, but I haven't always been. You have to be confident and not give a damn what other people are going to say. Having the confidence to date a big girl is more about getting over your own insecurities than anything else. Once you get comfortable dating someone for who they are instead of for living up to some arbitrary standard you'll find that you start to question a lot of your preconceived notions about life, not just what a woman looks like. So, how do you handle it? Like everything else in life that you encounter for the first time, just fucking do it. If you can't handle it, at least you'll know the next time you get hit on by a big girl. If you like it, you'll find a whole new world of women just opened up for your dating pleasure. I say go for it.

I remembered this post from some time ago in response to a question from gloyster, "Manning up for a fat chick", thought I'd repost it.

Say hello to my little friend!
I appreciate women of all body types and fuck it if I'm gonna let anyone else try to tell me who I should find attractive and who I shouldn't. Why should porn be any different?
