Slavery Reparations: How Much Are You Planning To Kick In, Fellow White Man?

How much are you desiring to get suckered for? Depends how much guilt you have projected upon yourself.

If you want to steal my money try to climb through my window and take it. This is where the Second Amendment comes in handy.

In a bell tower, watching you through cross hairs.
I not only have ZERO guilt, I have a counter claim. You see Mr. Queef, my family is Sicilian, and they came to America, as very poor immigrants LEGALLY through Ellis Island in 1904. They struggled, and worked and survived, and their kids, my mom and Aunts, had it a little better, just as I did. However, back somewheres about 200 hundred years or so, BEFORE slavery was a thing in America, a tribe of warriors from Africa invaded Europe, and they entered through Sicily. So, my ancestors were not only brutalized, and slaughtered, but pillaged, plundered, raped, and ENSLAVED. So..........where the fuck is my money? Somebody owes me something for my pain and suffering.

I seriously have no idea how you can continue to live in that pathetic, socialist gun grabbing criminal loving shit hole, called California. I hate to slander your home, but I couldn't stand being there for a minute. Any state that continually elects garbage like pelosi and fienstien obviously has an overwhelming population of dip shits, and half wits. Get the fuck out, while you can dude. And again, I'm sorry for being that way to you, but you obviously see the dumb fuckery on the horizon.

My ancestors from Russia were big into ethnic cleansing but didn't have the opportunity to enslave any Blacks. Jews would probably have the biggest gripe but they have too much money anyway so I owe them nothing. прощай клика вампиров

My mother's people have been in America forever. They were originally in North Carolina and grew tobacco. But, there was this one "employee" who was such a good snitch and also kept the other "clerks" "loyal" that my mother's family sent him to France to learn to play the piano. Therefore, my mother's family were gracious employers so I also owe nothing from that side.

No offense taken. A major problem is one party rule. The moderate Democrats are pissed off at the ones to their left as much as I am. The thing with those Bleeding Heart NIMBYs is that once one of their group of darlings get within 40 miles of their home they are as much for law and order as I always have been. The city is getting dirtier and dirtier and these empty suit politicians are trying to lull us into getting used to this as "the new normal". There is no incentive to solve the homeless problem either. If you solve the problem you can't wring your hands again and say you need more money to fix the problem. If the crime gets any worse I'm going to start carrying my .45ACP again.

This is a stupidly provocative question.

1) No american citizen is gonna pay for slavery reparation, not a dime. The US government might, not the US citizens. The US government might pay from its money. Yes ITS money, not YOURS.
Off course that money mostly comes from US tax-payers but once you've paid your taxes, that money seizes to be yours, it become the government's money and, as the owner of that money, the US government is free to use it, to spend it as he wants, no citizen is entitled to tell the government how to use that money.
All you can do about that is vote for a candidate you think is gonna spend that money on things you would approve.

2) There are better questions to ask about slavery reparations :
- How much would it cost ?
- Over what period of time would it be paid ?
- What percentage of a US citizen tax-return ?
- Who would benefit from it ?
- What would that money be used for ?

I don't know why the media and politicians are giving hope to Black people gullible enough to believe they're getting a really, really big check this time. When the rug finally gets pulled out from under them and the guy they voted for milked all the political currency out of them it just creates more bitterness and division among the races.

And another thing I wonder about reparations is this; Once it's paid is the question of discrimination settled. I can imagine some white folks saying when the subject of discrimination arises as it surely will. "Shut up, we paid you."

Some will say, "Shut up, we paid you!", others will tell the Slavery Reparations Czar to go fly a kite when he seeks payment, but the most virtuous and moral guilt-ridden drones of the White race will say, "Thank you, sir. May we pay another."

To wich black folks could answer : you paid for the discrimination of your ancestors against mine. If you wanna discriminate me, you'll have to pay for it...

Yeah, for a video that long by a random tuber, you'll need to give us your hot take.

IMO they are not the same. Off the bat, the Japanese who brought the redress movement for internment were those who were interned themselves. There is a much stronger case for reparations when you are giving it to the person who suffered the injustice. You have a strictly defined class of people who are a part of the action.

There's also the tangible value - all the property that was taken and sold by the US government while their Japanese-American owners were sent to the internments camps, that formed a large basis for the redress settlement.

And that's just a start.

Here's my hot take. The United States of America owes black people for building the country itself and saving it multiple times while dealing with duhumanization for over 400 years. Both Native Americans and Japanese Americans received reparations so it's about time that African Americans should receive reparations as well.

That video is almost an hour. Since you appear to be for reparations how much are you planning on paying?
I plan on paying attention to studies and cases on how America's racism towards African Americans cost it to lose over billions of dollars and sharing the information to other people so they could understand why reparations is owe to them.

Well, bless your heart. Looks like you have the meter running. What a thoughtful and selfless act for you to volunteer to be such a fastidiously reactive bean counter for African-Americans calculating centuries of inequities also knowing you would have to reach deep into your pocket and pay them.
