Do you collect.

Did a search through one hell of a lot of threads but found nothing on this.

Is there anything special to you that you collect.Examples - matchboxes,stamps,DVD's,train numbers,cars,motorbikes,etc.Anything really,if theres that one thing you can't stop obtaining and just can't throw away either.

Mine's Dragons,I have little and big statues,pictures,a lava lamp anything really I just like dragons.So of the statues are limited editions and are collectors items.I also have a bit of a thing for horror video's and DVD's and have a desent size collection too.

I collect tickets, tickets to anything I go to: concerts, parties, soccer matches etc.
I've been doing it for quite a while, I have over 100 tickets.

Sports memorabilia. Mostly autographs of baseball and football.

Vipco banned horror movies on dvd....I check the website quite often and have a checklist of which ones I have and need...I'm hoping to have collected them all one day!

Pennants. I have at least two hundred pennants. Many are hockey, some baseball, a few football. And about half of them are classic ones, the basic design with the old team logo's and such.

Sports pages/highlights from newspapers. I cut them out and have them laminated. Especially the pic shots and the page long shots(usually used around big events)

model cars. classic ones mainly, but anything more modern that takes my fancy, or just rare ones. haven't counted them in a while, but i've probably over three hundred by now. most of them are in boxes out in the garage though, since there's not enough space to display them all.

I collect records and comics.

I collected "chops" or "seals" for a long time, those are various sizes of stone, ivory, wood, bone, that is carved to make a Chinese or Japanese character stamp, typically someone's name or a saying. The detail can be incredible.

I used to collect Leica cameras and optical gear like binoculars and scopes. I tossed it all in when digital go serious a few years ago and bought a vintage car with the proceeds.

I've had a large wine cellar for a decade and I do buy more wines than I should, but it doesn't (any longer) feel like I am a collector.

Now, I really don't collect anything and my bank accounts and wallet are happier for it.

I once tried collecting keyrings...I got about twenty or so and then lost interest.
I have started collecting 1/24 scale diecast collectible cars.
I've only got five so far, but hope to add more very soon.

I used to collect movies, mostly horror. I don´t anymore since i ended up with about 500 movies i never watch. Now i just buy old horror that was cut or banned when they were first realeased and isn´t available to rent in my hometown.

I collect coins from foreign countries (got about 2000 of them, from all around the world), Comic books, Porn pictures (about 100.000 now and counting, thanks to Freeones ), stamps, but mainly books. I have the largest private owned library I know of (about 7500 books). Not rare books, of course (apart from two or three). The bad thing is that I am Obsessive-compulsive, and my collections are time-consuming. So, when downloading porn pictures, I hardly look at them: the fun for me is cataloguing them, making archives and themes, and sections and cross-references....It is a pain really But my book collection is the most important thing in my life right now. I have read every single book, many of them more than 2-3 times, and pretty much define who I am. And I can't lend a book (obsessive-compulsive, remember? ). I can't stand people who treat books badly, tear or write on pages, breaking the book's spine, eating while reading a book...(shudder!) I'd rather saw my own arm off than losing my library. I hope I don't sound TOO pathetic
