Looks like imgur is no longer any good as an FYI to everyone. Time to give your business to another hoster ;)

Well now. Over 46k views for this thread in the last ~6 years. Nice.

About cdn.to: pornographic content is not mentioned anywhere in their terms of service. I wonder how they actually take to that. Every single image hosting provider in existence should always put in complete, explicit and clear statements in their ToS regarding this.

Can you block the image host site funkyimg.com

It's slow as hell and my antivirus sometimes blocks the page and says it has malware.

Thanks.

Why is imgur not allowed? It's used for porn on reddit..
Ask them. We're not the ones disallowing it. They did it themselves. Big doofuses.

And since March 2019, Imgur has also been requiring that we verify ourselves -- both the uploader and to anyone who wants to view adult content -- and create accounts with a login and password.

That's too much of a hassle. Best to just avoid imgur altogether.

Hmmm. Thing is, Imgur was already on the shitlist when I started this thread about 9 years ago.. It was there because despite clearly hosting adult content even at that time, they disallowed traffic from Freeones even when the images weren't hotlinked (by checking referrer, if you opened a completely new tab and pasted the imgur link, the image of course worked perfectly well). Imgur has always been heavily leaning towards reddit users. Maybe reddit wanted to have their own little exclusive ring of circlejerk where no other porn site could take part of? Who the fuck really knows what that was about at the time. Hosting costs quite a bit of money of course, so the motive of excluding traffic from Freeones (most likely a rather substantial amount of traffic) is the only thing that makes sense to me.

Anyway, it's not a problem finding another image host at this point. If you see some porn hosted on imgur that you want to link here, just download it and host it elsewhere on the hosts that are listed in this thread or upload as an attachment if it's not an insanely large file.

Hmm don't really know about that. Find it hard to find an imagehost which allows porn and gifs upto 20mb..

Partial solution to the gif side of problems is to stop making gifs and instead make webm clips. That'll drop their size by an order of magnitude. Image hosting companies are hopefully coming around to hosting webms as well as gifs. Our enemy, imgur, at least has done that. That's the biggest example I know of.

On that note: that's the next feature to be on the lookout for when finding new hosting sites, as well as looking if already known sites would add support to webm.

www.postimage.org also accepts WebP images, both still and animated.
It's weird that google used the same extension for both types of images.
