Lindsay Davenport is an American professional tennis player. She has won three Grand Slam in tennis tournaments, US Open (1998), Wimbledon (1999) and the Australian Open (2000). She also won the Olympic gold medal in 1996. Davenport has been the #1 ranked women's singles player in the world several times, between 1998 and 2001. Her game is built largely around her groundstrokes. It could be argued that lack of court speed is perhaps her greatest weakness, though improved fitness and weight loss help to reduce her relative handicap.
